Solitude; sorrow and blessing

There is a great longing in man for company.  Even the most solitary person has a deep desire for a companion to share experiences with, someone who accepts and understands them and for a real and reciprocal love.

So she got up, and they began to pray and implore that they might be kept safe. Tobias began by saying,

“Blessed are you, O God of our ancestors,
and blessed is your name in all generations forever.
Let the heavens and the whole creation bless you forever.
You made Adam, and for him you made his wife Eve
as a helper and support.
From the two of them the human race has sprung.
You said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone;
let us make a helper for him like himself.’
I now am taking this kinswoman of mine,
not because of lust, but with sincerity.
Grant that she and I may find mercy
and that we may grow old together.”
Tobit 8:5-7

Mary and Jesus tell Luisa that company makes joys sweeter and is comfort in sorrows.  Solitude, however, dulls joys and makes sorrows even more painful.

Dearest child, how I long for your company, to tell you our story of love and of sorrow.  Company renders joys more sweet, tender and dear, and sorrow is mitigated and compensated by the company of the one who loves us.

The Virgin Mary in the Kingdom of the Divine WillHere sounds the First Hour of Sorrow.  Heroism in submitting the Infant Jesus to the Harsh Cut of Circumcision.

Company in operating makes happiness, delight, love of tenderness, competition, accord and heroism arise; isolation produces the opposite.
Vol. 14, November 11, 1922

Only company is what makes everyone happy, it allows good to be carried out, it makes it grow.  Isolation makes everything unhappy and sterile.  Ah! my daughter - oh! how my love suffers this isolation; and those few who keep Me company form my refreshment and my happiness.”
Vol. 12, September 2, 1920

In the Hours of the Passion, Luisa frequently mentions how often Jesus was alone and how He is always seeking the company of the creature in order to find to comfort in His sufferings.

I was waiting for you, since this is the sadness which most oppressed me: the total abandonment of everyone.  I was waiting for you to make you the spectator of my pains, and to have you drink together with me the chalice of the bitterness which my heavenly Father will soon send me by means of an angel.  We will sip it together, because it will not be a chalice of comfort, but of intense bitterness; and I feel the need for some loving soul to drink at lease some drops of it.  This is why I have called you: to accept it, to share my pains with me, and to assure me that you will not leave me alone in complete abandonment.
The Hours of the Passion, From 9 P.M. to 10 P.M., The First Hour of Agony in the Garden of Gethsemani

Jesus states that company diminishes pain while solitude intensifies it.  He went into the desert to personally experience all the solitude and the harsh pain that the Divine Will and mankind have endured since the fall of man.  The desert also portrays the spiritual reality of the soul living outside of the Divine Will.  The soul is left in solitude and desolation surrounded by the ferocious animals of her passions.  All good becomes a desert.  A solitude of centuries that also echoes in Creation.  Creation was supposed to be crammed with life and now because of the fall of man much of it is desolate and depopulated.  This solitude is also echoed in childless families that lack the image of the fecundity of God and so lack the laughter and vitality that children bring with them.  Jesus went into this desolation of the desert in order to restore this fecundity and beauty to the earth and repair the relationship between God and man.

I continued my round in the Divine Fiat, and in following my Jesus on the way to the desert, I thought to myself:  ‘Why did Jesus take the way of the desert?  There were no souls to be converted there, but profound solitude, while it was souls that He was looking for.’  But while I was thinking of this, my sweet Jesus, moving in my interior, told me:  “My daughter, company breaks the pain and diminishes it, while isolation concentrates it, doubles it and makes it more harsh.  I wanted to go into the desert to feel in my Humanity all the harshness of the isolation that my Divine Will had suffered for many centuries on the part of creatures.  My Humanity had to rise to the divine order and descend into the human order to be able to enclose the pains of both one and the other, and taking upon Myself entirely the painful part that divided man and God, have men cling once again to the embrace and to the kiss of their Creator.  But the purpose of my going into the desert was not only this.  You must know that Our adorable Majesty, in forming the Creation, established that every place was to be populated by inhabitants, and that the earth was to be extremely fertile and rich with many plants, in such a way that all would have in abundance.  As man sinned, he attracted the indignation of divine justice, and the earth remained deserted, infertile, and in many places depopulated – image of those sterile families in which there is no laughter, no feast, no harmony, because they are without children, and so there is no one who breaks the monotony of the two spouses, and the nightmare of isolation weighs on their hearts, leading them to sadness.  Such was the human family.  On the other hand, where there are children, there is always something to do, something to say, and occasions to celebrate.  Look at the sky – how populated with stars it is; the earth was to be the echo of the sky, crammed with inhabitants, and it was to produce so much and to render everyone rich and happy.

As man withdrew from my Will, his lot changed; and I wanted to go into the desert in order to call back the blessings of my Celestial Father and, by calling my Will to reign, restore the earth, populate it everywhere and fecundate it, in such a way that the earth will produce more seeds, and more beautiful ones, such as to increase it a hundredfold, rendering it more fecund and of radiant beauty.  How many great things will do the Kingdom of my Divine Fiat!  So much so, that all the elements are all in waiting – the Sun, the wind, the sea, the earth and the whole Creation – to deliver from their womb all the goods and effects which they contain.  In fact, since the Divine Will that dominates them does not reign in the midst of creatures, they do not put out all the goods which they enclose within them, giving them only what they have to as alms, and as to servants.  So, the earth has not produced all the seeds; the Sun, not finding all the seeds, does not produce all the effects and goods It contains; and so with all the rest.  This is why all await the Kingdom of the Fiat – to show creatures how rich they are, and how many admirable things the Creator has placed in them for love of the ones who were to be the children of His Will.”
Vol. 24, June 25, 1928

“From Nazareth I passed to the desert where there was maximum solitude and the greatest part had ferocious animals that hardened the desert with their roars that surrounded me, symbol of my Divine Will that since he is not known it forms the desert around the creature and a solitude that makes one horror and fear, the good becomes desert and the soul becomes surrounded by more than ferocious animals, that is her brutal passions that send roars of anger, of bestial furies, of cruelty, of every sort of evil.  My Holy Humanity went step-by-step retracing all the sorrows that my Divine Will had suffered in order to repair him and recall him again to reign in the midst of creatures.  I can say that my every heartbeat, breath, word, footstep and suffering, was the continuous re-call of my Will in order to make himself known by creatures, in order to make him reign, and he called them in Him in order to make them know the great good, the sanctity, the happiness of living in the Fiat.
Vol. 34, May 31, 1936

Creation feels the weight of solitude.  It longs for the ones who live in the Divine Will.  With the death of Jesus creation wept and mourned and returned to silence with His departure.

“My daughter, you must know that as long as my Humanity remained on earth, and as long as the Sovereign Queen also was there, there was no solitude nor sepulchral silence in the Creation, because by virtue of the light of the Divine Will, wherever this Will was It spread as light, and diffusing in everything, It multiplied in all created things, and everywhere my act was repeated – because one was the Will.  This is so true, that the Creation gave sensible signs both at my birth, and even more so at my death, to the point that the sun became dark, the stones split, the earth trembled, as if all were crying for their Creator, for their King.  They cried for the One who had kept them in feast, who had broken their solitude and sepulchral silence; and, all feeling the bitterness of such a hard privation, they gave signs of sorrow and crying, and returned once again to the mourning of their solitude and silence.  In fact, as I departed from the earth, the One who, in the light of my Will, emitted the voice which, forming the echo, rendered the Creation speaking and operating, was no longer there.
Vol. 19, July 29, 1926

Worse than solitude is being ignored, alienated and rejected while still in the midst of others.  Now God is always in the midst of creatures as their very life and the creature can't exist without God but creatures do not recognize Him and leave Him in isolation while still depending on Him for everything.  Even more so they use His very gifts to offend Him and even kill Him.

Cling to me, for I have come to keep you company and to receive yours in exchange.  See, I am the God isolated by creatures; I live in their midst, I am life of each one of their acts, while they keep Me as if I were not with them.  Oh, how I cry over my loneliness!  I have had the same lot as the sun:  while it lives in the midst of all with its light and heat, and there is no fecundity which does not come from it, and with its heat it purifies the earth of so many filthy things, and its goods are incalculable which, with magnanimity, it makes descend upon all, yet, it lives up high, always alone, while man, ungrateful, never sends a ‘thank you’ to it, or a sign of gratitude.

So I am - alone! always alone… while, being in their midst, I am light of every thought, sound of every word, motion of every work, step of every foot, beat of every heart.  Yet, man, ungrateful, leaves Me alone, and he says not a ‘thank You’ to Me, not one ‘I love You’.

I remain isolated in his intelligence, because he uses the light I give to him for himself, and perhaps even to offend Me.  I remain isolated in his words, because many times the sound that they form serves to blaspheme against Me.  I remain isolated in his works, which he uses to kill Me; in his steps and in his heart, which are intent only on disobeying Me, and on loving what does not belong to Me.  Oh, how this loneliness weighs on Me!  But my love, my magnanimity, is so great that, more than sun, I continue my course, and in my course I keep investigating whether anyone wants to keep Me company in so much loneliness.  And as I find him, I form my perennial company in him, and I lavish all my graces upon him.  This is why I have come to you - I was tired of so much loneliness.  Never leave Me alone, my daughter.”
Vol. 14, June 26, 1922

“Daughter of my Volition, do not leave me alone.  Your Mama wants you together (with her).  I want your company in the incessant work that I do for all creatures; I do everything for them, I don’t leave them one instant, because if I leave them they would lose (their) life.  And yet there isn’t one who recognizes me; rather they offend me, while I am all for them.  Oh, how hard solitude is!  Therefore I long for you, my daughter.  Oh, how dear your company is to me in my acts!  Company renders work sweet, it empties the weight of it and is bearer of new joys.”
Vol. 30, November 9, 1931

God experiences the solitude of as of a great teacher who does not have a single student who wants to learn and listen to Him when He finds no one living in the Divine Will.  The solitude of an immensely rich man who has no one to share His riches with and is left in bitter isolation.  Only one who lives in the Divine Will has the capacity to receive to receive His lessons as life, learn from Him and receive His immense gifts, the infinite into the finite.

“My daughter, born and reborn in our Volition; you must know that the living in our Volition contains such prodigies and unheard of wonders, that the heavens themselves are shaken, and reverent they abase themselves in sensing them, because in her (the creature) we can unfold our creative work, we can depose our love, our deliriums, our anxieties and sighs, our Will; she will make our Supreme Majesty understood, she will make us loved with our love.

“Without her we find ourselves like a teacher that possesses all the sciences; he could impart his lessons to all the universities, to all the schools; not at all, he doesn’t even find one pupil whom (will) learn his sciences.  What sorrow for this teacher!  To possess so many sciences, and to hold them useless in himself, without being able to make known the value of the sciences that he possesses.  Oh, if this teacher might find one single pupil that might want to learn his sciences, he would put him upon his knees, he would hold him with himself night and day, he would feel that his science will not die, but will live in his pupil, and as almost duplicate his life.  Oh how he would love him!  He would feel reborn in his pupil; the solitude broken, loved by [the one to whom] he imparts his lessons; hence, it would change his bitter life into joys.

“Such is our Supreme Being.  If we don’t find one who lives in our Divine Will, we are like the teacher, that we don’t have one to whom to impart our lessons; we possess infinite sciences, and yet we don’t have one to whom to say a word, because (there) is missing the light of our Volition, that will make them understand that which we want to teach them. Instead, if one lives in our Volition, we will feel ourselves revived in the creature; we can teach her our divine sciences, rather they will form life in her; she will understand our celestial dialect and marvel, she will love us as we want one to love us.  And here is ours and her fate changed; solitude won’t exist anymore, the company will be perennial; we will always have to say, and will hold one who listens to us; our eternal sorrow will be changed into joys, into festivals because the creature lives in ours Volition.

“Or rather it happens for us, when we don’t find one who lives in our Will, as one who possesses immense riches, but so many, that he feels as drown by them; and yet he doesn’t find neither one to give to, nor one who takes his goods.  Poor (man), in his riches he is very unhappy, he suffers a cruel solitude; there is no one who loves him, who respects him, who says to him one thank you rather it seems that they flee from him, because he doesn’t find neither one to whom to give them to, nor one who takes them.  Without company, joy dies, and with not giving them to anyone he feels that his goods, his life, doesn’t live in the others; and isolation is the greatest of bitternesses.

“Oh, how many times we want to give and don’t have one to give to!  Rather, with not doing our Will one closes the doors to us, impedes the step to us, indeed one puts oneself at (a) distance from us and surrounds oneself with misery, weakness, (and) the most ugly passions.

“Behold that the living in our Volition awakens wonder in everyone, and we ourselves remain amazed by it, having to enclose the infinite in the finite, the immensity in the littleness.  It is necessary that we make such wonders and prodigies, that only our love reigning over our Divine Being induces us to do the most outstanding wonders, but so much so that the angels and saints themselves remain surprised and mute for (the) amazement of it.”

Jesus states that suffering solitude is the most oppressive of sufferings.  In the Eucharist so many receive Him just to place Him in solitude as if He meant nothing to them.  Because of this He is unable to share anything with them and is forced to wait for His Eucharistic presence to dissolve in order to take His leave without being able to do any good other than to leave the mark of His tears.  These souls receive Him but remain sterile of love, sterile of virtues.  Jesus can only vent His love to one who pays attention to Him.  He often becomes forced to hide His own needs and sorrows to attend to their demands.  Only when He finds one who will keep Him company can He make the deposit of His virtues, and give the fruit of His sacrifices.  He lets such a one participate in His Life, and He chooses to make His home in her using her as a hideaway from sufferings, a refuge, and with this He feels repaid for the great sacrifice of His Eucharistic Life.

“My daughter, be faithful to me do not leave me ever alone, because the suffering of solitude is the most oppressive, because company is the food of relief for one who suffers, instead without company one suffers sorrow and is constrained to feel hunger, because he lacks one who gives the relief of food, he lacks everything, and perhaps he lacks one who can offer him relief, might it yet be a bitter medicine.  My daughter, how many souls receive Me Sacramentally in their hearts and they put Me in solitude, I feel in them as within a desert, as if I might not pertain to them, they deal with Me as extraneous, but do you know why they don’t take part in my life, in my virtues, in my sanctity, in my joys and in my sorrows, company means to take part in all that which the person does and suffers that remains near, hence to receive me and not take part in my life, it is for Me the most bitter solitude, and remaining alone I can not say to them how much I burn with love for them, and therefore my love, my sanctity, my virtue, my life remains isolated, in short everything is solitude inside of Me and outside of Me.  Oh!  How many times I descend into hearts and cry, because I see Myself alone, and when I descend, seeing myself alone I feel not cared for, nor appreciated, nor loved, so much so that I am constrained by their carelessness, to reduce myself to silence and melancholy, and since they don’t take part in my Sacramental Life, I feel set apart in their hearts, and seeing that I don’t have anything to do, with Divine and unconquered patience, I await the consummation of the Sacramental species, inside of which my eternal Fiat had imprisoned Me, leaving hardly the traces of my descent, because I could leave nothing of my Sacramental Life, perhaps only my tears, because not having taken part in my life, (there) lacked the void where to be able to leave the things that belong to Me, and that I wanted to put in common with them.   Therefore one sees so many souls that receive Me Sacramentally and they don’t give forth of Me, they are sterile of virtue, sterile of love, of sacrifice, poor little ones, they feed themselves with Me, but since they don’t keep Me company they remain fasting.  Ah!  To what straights of sorrow and cruel martyrdom my Sacramental Life is put.  Many times I feel drowned with love, I would like to free myself and I long to descend into hearts, but alas! I am constrained to go forth from it more drowned than before, how can I vent if they have not even made attention to the flames that burned Me?   Other times the flood of sorrow inundates Me, I long for a heart in order to have a relief to my sufferings, not a bit!  They would like that I might take their part, not them to mine, and I do it, I hide my sorrows, my tears, in order to console them and then I remain without the longed for relief.  But who can tell you the so many sorrows of my Sacramental Life and how there are more of those that receive Me and put Me in solitude in their hearts, but bitter solitude, than those that keep Me company?  And when I find a heart that keeps Me company, I put my Life in communication with her, leaving her the deposit of my virtues, the fruit of my sacrifices, the participation of my Life, and I choose her for my abode, for (the) hideaway of my sufferings and as (a) place of my refuge, and I feel as repaid for the sacrifice of my Eucharistic Life, because I found one who breaks my solitude for Me, who dries my tears, who gives Me liberty to let me vent my love and my sorrows, it is they who serve Me as living species, not like the Sacramental species that gives Me nothing, only that they hide Me, the rest I do by myself all alone, they don’t tell Me a word that breaks my solitude, they are mute species.  Instead in the souls that serve Me as living species, we develop life together, we beat with one heartbeat alone, and if I see her disposed, I communicate my sufferings to her and my continuous passion, I can say that from the Sacramental species I pass into the living species in order to continue my Life upon the earth, not alone but together with her.   You should know that the sufferings are not in my power anymore, and I go asking for love from these living species of souls, that make up for Me that which I lack.  Therefore my daughter, when I find a heart that loves Me and keeps Me company, giving me liberty to do that which I want, I arrive to excesses, I don’t mind to anything I give so much that the poor creature feels drown by my love and by my graces, and then my Sacramental Life doesn’t remain sterile anymore when I descend into hearts, no, but it reproduces itself, bilocating and continuing my Life in her, and these are my conquerors that administer their life to this needy poor man of sufferings and they say to Me:  ‘My love, you had your turn of sufferings and it ended, it is now my turn, therefore leave it to me that I might make up for You and that I suffer in your place.’   And oh, how content I remain from it!  My Sacramental Life remains at its post of honor because it reproduces other of its lives in creatures.  Therefore I want you always together with Me, so that we have life together, and you take to breast/heart my life and I take up yours.”
Vol. 31, January 18,1933

Jesus endures isolation in the Eucharist for the sake of creatures.  He endures a lonely prison where the solitude causes Him to burst into tears.

“And then there is my eucharistic life, that gives proof of it and confirmation of that which I say to you, are they not perhaps little veils the accidents of the bread, in which I remain consecrated, I live and truly in soul and body(,) blood and divinity?  And if there are a thousand hosts, a thousand lives of mine I form in every single host, if there is only one host, I form there only one life of mine.  And then, what does the host give me?  Nothing, not an I love you, nor a breath, nor a heartbeat, nor is a step of company, I am alone, and many times the solitude oppresses me, embitters me and I burst into weeping; how it weighs on me not having one to whom to say a word, I am under the nightmare of a profound silence.  What does the host give me?  The hideaway in order to hide me, the tiny prison in order to have (that) I would remain in order to speak, in order to make me unhappy.  But since it is my Will that wants that I remain sacramentally in every host, he that is not ever bearer of unhappiness, neither to us, nor to the creatures that live in him, he makes flow in my sacramental life, our celestial joys that are inseparable from us, but always on our part; but the host never gives anything to me, it doesn’t defend me, nor love me.
Vol. 36, August 21, 1938

Within the Holy Eucharist Jesus repeats His entire life each day, all His works, pains, solitude, prayers, acts, passion and death.  All of this in order to call the Kingdom of the Divine Will to be done in Heaven as in earth.  We can console and break His solitude by accompanying Him and reviewing His life with Him each day.

After this I followed to pray before the Tabernacle of love, and in my interior I said to myself:  “What do you do, my Love, in this Prison of love?”   And Jesus all goodness said to me:

“My daughter, do you want to know what I do?  I make my day; you should know that I enclosed all my life passed down here inside of a day.  My day begins with (my) conception and being born, the veils of the sacramental accidents serve me for bands for my infantile age, and when [for] human ingratitude they leave me alone and seek to offend me, I make my exile, leaving me only the company of some loving soul, that as a second mother doesn’t know how to detach herself from me and keeps me faithful company.   From the exile I pass to Nazareth making my hidden life in the company of those few good ones who surrounded me.  And following my day, as creatures approach to receive me, thus I make my public life, repeating my evangelical scenes, handing to each one my teachings, the helps, the comforts that are necessary to her, I do as Father, as Teacher, as Physician, and if needs be also as Judge.  Hence I spend my day waiting for everyone and doing good to everyone.  And oh! how many times she touches me (only) to remain alone, without a heart that palpates near me, I feel a desert around me, and I remain alone, alone to pray, I feel the solitude of my days that passed in the desert down here, and oh, how very sorrowful it is to me!  It is I that palpate for everyone in every heart, jealous I am at watch of everyone, I feel isolated and abandoned.  But my day doesn’t end with only the abandonment, there is no day in which ungrateful souls don’t offend me, and receive me sacrilegiously, and they make me perform my day with my Passion and with my death on the cross.   Ah! it is the sacrilege(,) the most merciless death that I receive in this Sacrament of love.  So that in this Tabernacle I make my day with performing all that which I performed in the thirty-three years of my mortal life.  And since [in] all that which I did and I do, the first purpose, the first act of life is the Will of my Father, that he does as in Heaven thus in earth, thus in this little Host, I don’t do other than to implore that one be my Will with my children, and I call you in this Divine Will in which you find all my Life in act, and you following it, ruminating (over) it and offering it(,) you unite with me in my Eucharistic day, in order to obtain that my Will be known and reign upon the earth.   And thus you also can say:   ‘I make my day together with Jesus.’”
Vol. 29, September 12, 1931

Jesus not only wants the company of the creature in His daily life but He wants to find her in all of Creation as well.

“I have done everything for you, come to enjoy and possess all that which with so much love I have created for you, do not make yourself estranged from all that which belongs to you nor make ours and your possessions isolated and deserted.  Come and make your voice echoed, so that it resounds in all our created things.  Make us feel the sweet stamping of your steps.  Solitude grieves us, company puts us in feast and gives us the sweet surprises of the joys that our beloved creature can give us.”
Vol. 30, April 23, 1932

God's desire for the company of His creature is so great that that He creates in Himself the need to love such that He puts Himself at the service of the creature.  His desire to be with the creature extends to even placing Himself as a voluntary prisoner within each creature in order to fill them with His Divine Life in as much as each will allow it.  But He wants to do this together with them in agreement.  Solitude breaks His designs when the creature does not know Him and does not want to lend her little acts to accompany His.  Without these she can not receive His works.  The little expressions of love that come from His beloved creature is His all consuming focus and joy.

“You should know that our Supreme Being possesses in nature creative strength, the redeeming virtue and the life that revives and sanctifies all.   Now in creating the Creation we did it as alone, without the creature, but after created, our love is so much toward her that we wanted to continue and to develop the creative strength together with her, and while with the conservation the creation is as if in the act (in which) we were creating it, this creative strength unifies and invests souls and it continues the Creation in the interior of each one.  And what do we create?   New Heavens of love, new suns of knowledge, new seas of grace, new air of sanctity, new winds of refreshment that embalm the creature, new life always growing with our Divine Will, new flowers of beauty, of holy desires.   In short, our creative virtue makes echo in souls the echo of the Creation of all things, and with a Wisdom and goodness all ours, we always create, without ever stopping.  If we might ever stop, that which can not be, we should restrict this creative nature of ours, that holds the virtue of always creating.  But with all this, our Divine Heights abased ourselves so much, we descended into the depth of creatures, and we develop there together our creative virtue, as we don’t want to do it alone, solitude would break Our arms, and it would put a limit to our creative strength and virtue.  We, in order to be able to love more, We form ourselves with laws of love and we have created in Us the need to love.  So that to love in Us is necessity, but a wanted necessity not forced by anyone, and it is this necessity to love that makes Us do so many unheard of things, it makes Us give into excesses and into follies toward creatures.  It would have been absurd and not ways of a perfect Being that is ours, to create things and beings to live and not to love them, rather first we love them, we make our love as first act race and then we bring them forth to the light as birth, outlet and triumph of our love, if this might not be the creation would have been an unbearable weight and not of glory and of honor, things that don’t love each other flee each other.  Instead We love them so much that we enclose Ourselves in them, making ourselves voluntary Prisoners, in order to form our Divine Life in the creature and fill her with Us, for how capable they are.  And in order to make that we might love her more and in order to be more loved, we want that she know it and we want her in our company, in order to make that she herself sees and touches with (her) hand that which we are working, and how we want our Divine life in her soul.  Our love does not give itself pause, and according to the dispositions and cooperation of the creature, now we develop the creative strength, now the redemptive, and now the sanctifying, according to her needs and the correspondence that she lends Us.  But all this always together with her, never alone, we want to use the creative virtue, but we want that she knows and receives it, we want to use the redeeming virtue, if sin tyrannizes her, but we want that she feels the good that we want to make her, and she receive it with love and gratitude.  We want to use the sanctifying virtue, but we want that she lends herself to receive the transformation of our holy acts in hers, in order to receive our sanctifying virtue.  If the soul doesn’t remain together with us and doesn’t unite her little work, to our great work, for Us it would be as if we might want to develop our work of love over inanimate things, that don’t feel and don’t know anything of the good that they receive and for them it would be as the distant God that they neither know, nor love.  You should know that our love is so much, that all creatures swim and are inside of this immense sea of our love, it is as if we might not be content with so much immensity of this love of ours, our Supreme Being makes himself Fisherman and goes fishing the little drops of love of creatures, their little acts, their little sacrifices, the sufferings suffered for our love, an ‘I love you‘ with heart that she has said to Us.  We fish all from within our same sea in order to take the contentment, the happiness of the exchange of the love of the creature and we crave it so much that we make our daily fishing and prepare our Celestial table.  True love has the virtue of transforming things, it puts forth the sweet enchantment to our Divine pupils and makes the little loving acts of creatures beautiful, attractive, likable to Us, in a way that enraptures Us, wounds Us, felicitates Us.  In (that) We make ourselves enrapturers, making of her our most pleasant conquest.  Therefore if you want to make us happy and be (the) bearer to your God of joys and happiness, love, love always, don’t ever stop loving us and in order to be more secure enclose all yourself in the Divine Fiat, which will let nothing escape of you that is not love for your Creator.”
Vol. 31, February 12, 1933

God longs for the company of the creature but by not living in the Divine Will we cause God, and ourselves to live in solitude.  Peace flees from the creature without God.  She becomes weakened.  Good dies and beauty is besmirched.  Without the company of God the creature is instead kept company with disturbances, passions, miseries and darkness.  The creature can not receive and God can not give, isolating both, the one from the other and God, the Word Incarnate, is reduced to silence.

“And it is really this not living in my Will, leaving me alone!  The human volition removes the creature from her Creator, and as she removes herself peace flees, and disturbances takes (the) place that torment her, the strength is weakened, the beauty is discolored, the good dies and evil rises, passions keep her company, poor creature without my Will, in what abyss of miseries and of darkness she casts herself!  It happens like to the flower that is not watered, it feels itself lose life, it loses color declines upon its stem in order to await death, and if the sun invests it, not finding it watered, it burns it and finishes to dry it.  Such is the soul without my Will, it is as a soul without water; my own truths that are more splendid than the sun, not finding water from the life of my Will, burn it more, they blind it and render it incapable of understanding them and of receiving the good, the life that they possess; and they arrive to such excesses that the good, my own truths, bearers of life to creatures, wage war.  Therefore I want you always in my Will, so that neither you nor I suffer the hard pain of solitude.”

“My little daughter of my Volition, it is really true that one who doesn’t live in our Will, it puts him in solitude and reduces him to silence; you should know that every creature is a new and distinct work that we hold to do, and hence new things to say; if she doesn’t live in our Volition we feel that that creature is distant from Us because her will is not in ours, therefore apart from her, we feel alone, impeded in our work, and if we want to speak, it is as if we might want to speak to the deaf, to the mute.  Therefore one who doesn’t live in our Volition is our cross, impedes our step, ties our arms, knocks down our most beautiful works, and I who am the Word am reduced to silence.
Vol. 33, March 11, 1934

When we do our own will we work alone.  Isolated without help, support, defense, or light. We are left to our own devices and as such we are as abandoned.  Jesus allows this so that the soul will feel the full weight of the human will and what it means to be without the Divine Will.  But for one who lives in the Divine Will she is not ever alone but has all of Heaven, the angels, the Saints are with her to help, defend, support and keep her company.

“My daughter, one who does their own will sets themselves apart from everyone and works alone, there is no one who helps her, nor one who gives her strength, nor one who gives her light, in order to do the best of that which she does, so that everyone leaves her in the power of herself, isolated, without support, and without defense.  One can call her the (abandoned one)[deleritta], the lost one in the Creation, just suffering for one who wants to do her will, to feel all the weight of solitude, in which she has put herself, and the lack of all the helps, and oh the sorrow that I feel in seeing so many creatures set apart also by Me, and I in order to make them touch with (their) hand, what it means to do without my Will, I am as far away, making them feel the whole weight of the human volition, which never gives her rest and becomes her most cruel tyrant.  All to the contrary for one who does my Will, all are with her, Heaven, the Saints, the Angels, because for honor and respect of my Divine Volition everyone is obligated to help that creature and sustain her in those acts where my Will enters.   He himself puts her in communication with everyone, and commands everyone that they help, defend, and make her the cortege of their company, the grace, the shimmering light already smiles at her in her soul, and he administers the best to her, the most beautiful in her act, I myself remain busy in one who does my Will and I will make flow in her acts, mine, in order to have the honor, the love, the glory, of my acts in the act of the creature, that has worked in my Will, behold therefore she feels the connection with everyone, the strength, the support, the company, the defense of everyone.  So that one who does my Will and lives in Him can be called the re-found one of the Creation, the daughter, the sister, the friend of everyone.  She does as the sun that from the heights of its sphere rains light, and enlarging itself encloses all in its light, gives itself to everyone, doesn’t deny itself to anyone, and as faithful sister embraces all things, and gives as pledge of its love to every created thing, its beneficent effect, constituting itself life of the effect that it gives.  In some it forms the life of sweetness, in other created things the life of perfume, in others the life of the colors and so on.  Thus my Will, from the heights of his throne, rains his light, and where he finds the creature that wants to receive him in order to let him dominate, he surrounds her, embraces her, warms her, molds her in order to make her mature, and thus encloses his admirable life as if he might be life of the creature and with this life everything and everyone are with her, as everything is of my adorable Will.”
Vol. 33, November 26, 1933

God longs for the company of the creature with urgency.  He longs for His bitter isolation to end so that He can continue His creative act in her and who lives in His Will is in continuous company with God undergoing His creative act.  She gives Him His glory and exchange love in all things and God holds her jealously to His bosom.

“You must know that the thing that is most urgent to our Supreme Being is the company of the creature.  We do not want to be the isolated God, nor to hold her far from us; isolation has never been the bearer of great works or of happiness; company matures the birth of good and makes arise the most beautiful works to the light.  Behold therefore we created so many things, in order to have (the) occasions to have her company so many times for how many things we created, and since that which we did one time we are always in the act of doing it, one who lives in our Volition is always in company with us; she undergoes our creative act and we receive the glory, the exchange of the created love.

“Therefore we hold her company in the celestial spheres, in the radiant sun, in the auras of the wind, in the air that everyone breathes, in the murmur of the sea; anywhere and everywhere she follows us, defends us and reciprocates us in love.  She does not know how to live without us or without loving us, and we cannot be without her, and jealous we hold her pressed to our divine bosom.”

Then he added:  “The company of the creature is so very dear to us, that we form our recreation with her, we make the greatest decisions for our glory and for the good of human generations we complete our designs while we are in company.  Our love rises to new life, and goes inventing new contrivances of love and new surprises in order to chain creatures to always love us and more.

“If not for company, with whom should we vent ourselves? Upon whom to form our designs? Where to rest our love that always rises? Hence, our goods, without company, would be depressed, without being able to give life to that which we want to do for love of creatures. Do you see therefore how much her company is necessary to our love, to our works and to the completion of our Volition?”

Vol. 35, December 6, 1937

The creature was not created to live in isolation but in continuous communion with God.  Only when someone lives in the Divine Will can God form complete divine acts out of the creatures acts which allows Him to give as fully as He longs to give.

“My blessed daughter, in our completed Will becomes enclosed all the glory that the creature can give us, the love with which we must love her, and the love with which she must love us.  So that in a completed act of Will we can say we have done everything, everything we have given, even ourselves, and everything we have received.  Because with living in him, we give everything, and take everything, and she can give us everything.

“Instead if she doesn’t live in our Volition, if our Will is not completed, we can not give everything, she will be incapable of receiving our love, nor will she hold (the) capacity of loving us how much we want to be loved; and we to give of ours almost in little particles, as if we might be poor, we are not content; we don’t like giving our things at half, to be able to give and not give is always a sorrow for us, our love remains repressed and makes us give into delirium.

“Behold therefore we want the soul to live in our Divine Volition, because we want to give; everything and always without ever ceasing to give, our divine being never exhausts itself, how much more we give so much more we can give, and giving for us is relief, is happiness, is (an) outlet of love, is communication of our life that we do, and my love is so much that I remain in the soul in order to grow myself.

“Now, having to grow myself I watch over it continually, so that that which she does serves to make my life grow in her, I dispose her acts, her love, some to form my members, some my Heart, some the food in order to feed me, some the dress in order to cover me, in order to warm me; I am always in aptness in order to unite her motion to mine, her breath to mine, in order to find her motion in mine and her breath as if it were my motion and breath; I don’t let anything escape of that which she does, thinks, speaks, works, suffers, because it must serve to myself and to make my life grow.  Hence I always remain in aptness, I never give rest to myself; and oh, how content I am with it, how happy I feel always being occupied in my work to make myself grow in her.

“I didn’t create the creature so that she might remain isolated at all, it was my work and hence I had to unfold my work in order to form worthy work of me.  Therefore if she doesn’t live in my Will I don’t find the first matter in order to form and grow my life, we live as distant, as isolated, and the solitude grieves me, the silence weighs on me; not being able to unfold my work, I give into manias of love and I feel myself rendered the unhappy God apart from creatures.

“Therefore, my daughter, be attentive, live always in my Will lend me your acts, let me work in order not to hold me in you as a God that might not be able or know how to do anything, while I hold to do the greatest work of making grow and forming my life, which will be so very beautiful that it will form the sweet enchantment to all the Celestial Court.
Vol. 36, September 11, 1938

To live in the Divine Will is to keep Jesus company and be united to Him.  Everything He does, she does, everything He loves, she loves, if He is offended she suffers together with Him.  It is only because of this company that Jesus refrains from punishing mankind as they merit.  When Jesus sees all of Creation and all the Redemption bejeweled with the creature's "I love you" then He no longer feels the crushing solitude of the grave.  However He will intermix speaking with silence in order to give the creature time to respond to all He has worked in her so that the act might be complete and they might rest together.

“You feel how beautiful it is to live in my Volition, that which I do, she does; how she feels that I say to her:  ‘I love you’; immediately she repeats to me:  ‘I love you.’   And I in feeling myself loved transform her so much into me, that with one voice alone we say:  ‘We love everyone, we do good to everyone, we give life to everyone.’  If I bless, we bless together, we adore, we glorify together, we race together in help of everyone, and if they offend me we suffer together; and oh, how content I am in seeing that a creature doesn’t leave me alone ever!  How beautiful is the company of one who wants that which I want and does that which I do!  The union makes rise the happiness, the heroism in doing good, the tolerance in supporting (it), much more so that it is a human creature that belongs to the human family, that doesn’t do other than send me nails, thorns and pains; and I finding in this my hideaway and my desired company, knowing that she would be displeased if I punished them as they merit, in order not to displease her, I abstain (from) punishing them as they merit.  Therefore, do not ever leave me alone, solitude is one of the hardest and most intimate sufferings of my Heart; not having one to whom to say a word to, as much in the sufferings as in the joys, it makes me give into such manias of sorrow and of love that if you might be able to experience them you would die of pure sorrow.

“My dearest daughter, you must know that my word is work, while my silence is rest; and my word is work not only for Me, but also for you.  It is my usual way that, after I have worked, I want to rest in the midst of my very works – they are my softest bed in my rest; and since you have listened to my word and have worked together with Me, with Me you must take rest.  Look, my daughter – how beautiful the whole Creation is!  It was the word of your Jesus that worked It with one Fiat.  But do you know what is the enchantment that enraptures Me?  Your little ‘I love You’ on each created thing.  With this little ‘I love You’ of yours impressed on each of them, they all speak to Me of your love, they speak to Me of my newborn of my Will; I hear the harmonious echo of the whole Creation that speaks to Me about you.  Oh! how it enraptures Me, how happy I am to see that my Fiat in Creation and the one taught to you hold hands, intertwine together, and fulfilling my Will, they give Me rest.

“But I am not content with resting alone, I want the one who gives Me rest together with Me, that she may take rest, and we may enjoy together the fruits of our work.   Look – do all Creation and all the works of my Redemption not seem to you more beautiful with your ‘I love You’, with your adoration and with your will transfused in mine, carrying out its life in the midst of the celestial spheres?  There is no more solitude, nor that sepulchral silence that was there before in the celestial spheres and in all my works; but there is the little daughter of my Will keeping them company, making her voice heard, loving, adoring, praying.  Holding on to her rights, given to her by my Will, she possesses everything, and when there is someone who possesses, there is no more solitude, nor the silence of a grave.  This is why, after having spoken to you at length, I keep silent – it is the rest necessary for Me and for you, so that I may be able to resume my word again, and therefore continue my work and yours.  But while I rest I contemplate all my works; my love rises within Me, and as it is reflected in Me, I delight, and I conceive within Myself more images similar to Me; and my Will places them outside of Me as triumph of my love, and as the beloved generation of my Supreme Fiat.  So, in my rest I generate children for my Will, all similar to Me, and in my word I deliver them and give them development, beauty, height; and my word keeps forming them as worthy children of the Supreme Fiat.  Therefore, my daughter, each word of mine is a gift that I give you; and if I call you to rest it is so that you may contemplate my gift, and delighting in it and loving it, you may let more gifts arise within you, similar to those I have given you; and as you release them, they may form, together, the generation of the children of the Supreme Fiat.  How happy we will be!”
Vol. 19, July 20, 1926

For those who are called by Jesus to His own likeness He places them into His same conditions which  He experienced with His Humanity.  He only partook of things of the most basic necessity and lived as detached from the earth, as suspended in the air, being detached from everyone with no human supports.  Such is how He would have us be, all focus is on Him and being bound to His Will she does what He does seeking the good for all.

“Now, one whom I call to my likeness, I place in the same conditions in which I placed my own Humanity.  Therefore, I Myself am your prop, my own arms are your support; and as I make you live in my arms, suspended in the air, only things of strict necessity can reach you.   For one who lives in my Will, detached from everyone, all for Me, anything more than strict necessities are vile things, and a degrading herself from her nobility.  And if human supports are given to her, she senses the stench of the human, and she herself drives them away.”

Then He added:  “As soon as the soul enters into my Will, her volition remains bound with my Eternal Volition; and even if she does not think about it, since her will has been bound to Mine, whatever my Will does, hers does as well, and together with Me she runs for the good of all.”
Vol. 12, June 10, 1920

Jesus makes Himself all for one who is all for Him.  He supplies and is everything for her but in turn she must look to Him for everything.  She can not turn to anyone else for advice or comfort.  This is the jealousy of God for a soul living in the Divine Will dedicated to Him.  He keeps her isolated from the world so that she might be entirely His.  She shares in His solitude but gains His perpetual company.

...having received Holy Communion, all afflicted, I was repeating my great affliction to my affectionate Jesus, saying to Him:  ‘My Life, my Good and my All, it shows that You alone are everything for me.  I have never found in any creature, as good and holy as he might be, a word, a comfort, a solution for the slightest doubt of mine.  It shows how there is to be no one for me, but You alone:  You alone – the All for me, and I alone, alone – always alone for You.  And so I abandon myself in You, completely and always.  As bad as I am, have the goodness of holding me in your arms, without leaving me for one single instant.’

While I was saying this, my blessed Jesus made Himself seen looking in my interior, turning everything upside down to see if there was something which He did not like.  And while turning and turning, He took something like a grain of white sand in His hands, and He threw it to the ground.  Then He said to me:  “Dearest daughter of mine, it is absolutely right that for one who is all for Me, I be all for her.  I am too jealous that someone else might give her the slightest comfort.  I alone – I Myself alone want to make up for all, and in everything.  What is it that afflicts you?  What do you want?  I do everything to make you content.  Do you see that white grain that I removed from you?  It was nothing but a little bit of anxiety, for you wanted to know my Will from others.  I removed it from you and I threw it on the ground so as to leave you in holy indifference - the way I want you.
Vol. 10, November 29, 1910

The process Jesus uses to form a soul that is to live all for Him may at the time seem painful because the food of the Divine Will can only be appreciated when the human will is purged of all human purpose.  To facilitate this the Divine Will keeps the human will as on an empty stomach frustrating any self serving satisfactions.  It is only then that the the soul turns to the Divine food when she can't sate her appetite with the human.  Then she can appreciate the value of Divine and she comes to love it so much as to never want to exchange it again even at the cost of her life.  Keeping the human will as a footstool to the Divine is the only way God can establish His Kingdom in the soul changing her entire interior.  But creatures are used to looking down and so admire the things of the earth, even the little lights in the practice of the Virtues rather than looking up at the dazzling Sun of the Divine Will.

I was thinking to myself:   ‘My sweet Jesus says many great, admirable, highest and wonderful things about the Will of God, yet it seems to me that creatures do not have that concept which It deserves, nor that great impression of the wonders which are in It.   On the contrary, it seems that they place It on the same level as the virtues, and maybe they care more about those, than about the Most Holy Will of God.’  And my always lovable Jesus, moving in my interior, told me:

“My daughter, do you want to know why?  Because their palates are not purged, and they are accustomed to the ordinary foods of this low world, which are the virtues, and not to the celestial and divine food, which is my Will.  This celestial food is appreciated only by those who consider earth, things, and even people, as nothing, or as fully ordered in God.   The virtues which can be practiced on earth are rarely exempt from human purposes, from self-esteem, from self-glory, love of appearing and of pleasing people.  All these aims are like many tastes for the ordinary palate of the soul; and many times one operates more for these tastes than for the good that the virtue contains.  This is why virtues breach more easily – because the human will always gains something.  On the other hand, the first thing that my Will knocks down is the human will, and It tolerates no purpose which gives of human.  My Will is from Heaven, and wants to place in the soul that which is divine and which belongs to Heaven; therefore one’s own self remains on an empty stomach and feels itself dying.  So, in feeling her own self dying and in losing the hope of having any other food left, the soul makes up her mind to take the food of my Will; and as she takes it, her palate being purged, she feels the taste of the food of my Will, which is such that she would not exchange it at the cost of her life.

“My Will does not know how to compromise, as virtues do, with the low and little things that can be done on earth; rather, It wants to keep everything and everyone as a footstool at Its feet, and change the whole interior of the soul and the very virtues into Divine Will.  In a word, It wants Its own heaven in the depth of the soul, otherwise It would remain hindered, and would not be able to carry out Its Divine Life.  So, here is the great difference which exists between the virtues and my Will - between the sanctity of one and of the other: the virtues can be of creatures and can form a human sanctity at the most; my Will is of God and can form a Sanctity which is fully divine.  What a difference!  However, since the creatures are used to looking down below, they are more impressed by the little lamps of the virtues, than by the great Sun of my Will.”
Vol. 19, April 9, 1926

The stairway of the virtues are well known and celebrated on the earth but there is a stairway of the gold that is of the Jesus' Life, which are hidden to all but God.   Those who climb the first are stiff and poorly formed while those who take the second become as other Jesus'.  These are the ones who are all for Jesus and He becomes their very life.  But on earth they will remain hidden and isolated only to be known in Heaven where it will be revealed that they are the ones who shall have accomplished the greater good for mankind.

(Jesus) showed me two high stairways, from earth up to Heaven.  On one of them there were more people - very few on the other.  The one on which there were only few people was of solid gold, and it seemed that those few who were going up were as many other Jesuses - each one of them was one Jesus.  The other one, on which there were more people, seemed to be made of wood and one could distinguish who the people were - almost all of them short and not very developed.  Jesus told me:

“My daughter, those who lived their lives in my Life ascend on the golden stairway; so I can say:  ‘They are my feet, my hands, my Heart - the whole of Myself.’   As you can see, they are another Me - they are all for Me, and I am their life.  Their actions are all of gold and of incalculable value, because they are divine.  No one will ever be able to reach their height because they are my very Life.  Almost without anyone knowing them, because they are hidden in Me, only in Heaven will they be perfectly known.

“On the wooden stairway there are more souls; these are the souls who walk along the way of the virtues, yes, but not in union with my Life and with the continuous connection of my Will.  Their actions are of wood, therefore their value is minimal.  These souls are short, almost scrawny, because many human purposes are mixed in with their good actions, and human purposes produce no growth.  They are known to everyone, because they are not hidden in Me, but in themselves, therefore no one covers them.  They will not cause any surprise for Heaven, since they were known also on earth.

“Therefore, my daughter, I want you completely in my Life, with nothing in yours, and I entrust to you the ones you know and see, that they may keep themselves strong and constant on the stairway of my Life.”
Vol. 11, November 25, 1912

do not worry about what you were told; my Mama also contained my Will as life; yet, the world continued its course in evil – in nothing did it appear to be changed.  Not one external miracle was seen in Her; and yet, what She did not do in the low world She did in Heaven with Her Creator.  By Her continuous living in the Divine Will, She formed the place within Herself in order to draw the Word upon earth, She changed the destiny of mankind, She performed the greatest of miracles, which no one else has done or will ever do – a unique miracle: to transport Heaven upon earth.  For one who must do the greatest it is not necessary to do the lesser.  And yet, who knew anything of what my Mama was doing? - what She did with the Eternal One in order to obtain the great portent of the descent of the Word into the midst of creatures?  It was known only that She was the cause of it, by few at my conception, by many when they saw Me breathe my last on the cross.  My daughter, the greater the good I want to do to the soul – and this good must descend for the good of the human generations and must bring Me complete glory – the more I draw her to Myself, and I make this good mature and season between the soul and Me.  I segregate her from everyone, I make her ignored; and when my Will wants her to draw close to some creature, it takes all my power in order for her to submit to the sacrifice.  Therefore, let your Jesus do, and calm yourself.”
Vol. 16, March 22, 1924

Only one who lives in the Divine Will can, by the power of the Divine Will, spread her act to everything and everyone.  In this way she unites herself with everything and everyone and with God Himself.  Recognizing each other, that is recognizing the Divine Will in each other, they are truly Father and child and this breaks the solitude that before separated them.  Now they keep each other company through the eternal Divine Fiat which unites Heaven and earth.

“My daughter, you can not understand the whole value that an act done in my Divine Will contains.  So much is its value, its greatness that the same creature that has done it, can not enclose it all inside of herself.  It fills her and not being able to contain it it overflows outside, and races in the same immensity of the eternal Fiat.  And all that which He involves and that he encloses in his immensity, the same act of the creature repeats.  So that if you love, adore, bless me, thank me, you give the wide field to all created things to repeat your act, in a way that Heavens and earth, Sun and wind, seas and rivers, plants and outside, all in chorus say:  ‘we love you, we adore you, we pray you’ and so on.   It is as an echo, that resounds in everything and in everyone, and with his investing strength, that my Will possesses, he absorbs and makes all things undergo the same act that the creature has done in my Will.  And oh, what sweet surprise, what marvelous enchantment, that an act reigns over everything and makes its act repeated by everyone.   This little atom that enters in our Volition makes itself powerful over everyone and sweetly feeds its same act to everyone in order to make its Creator loved.  Therefore our Supreme Being feels that the creature that enters in our Volition, moves everything, she makes her voice flow in all things, and not wanting to be alone, invests, reigns and makes all things that are invested by the Fiat say, that which she wants.  Does she want love?  And she makes all things say love.  Does she want to adore, to bless?  And all lend themselves to adore and to bless.  In short, she is the commander over all the Creation, and we make her do it.  It is our same Volition that wants that which she does and his same power, his empire with which she has been invested.  And we delight so much in seeing the littleness of the creature flow in our immensity, and we feel the company of the creature.  Because holding each other company means to recognize each other, that we are already together with her, to recognize the act that she does, its value so that she can tell us when she loves us, because when she knows more that her act is great, she gives us more, and we feel more loved, and we love her more.  So that it is she alone that comes from the earth to break our solitude, and she alone the busybody that wants to move all things in order to make us loved, blessed, thanked.  It is true that the other creatures are in our Divine Will, but not knowing that we are with them and for whom they work, and the value of their works, they live as strangers and as distant from us.  And this is a great sorrow for us, to have children to hold them in our house, that is in our Will as if we might not have them, and not recognizing He who gives them life and loves them so much.  This doesn’t happen for one who already knows that she lives in our Will.  We know each other, we live as between children and Father, rather she lives in us, and we in her, and we form one Will alone.”
Vol. 31, December 6, 1932

All of God's works, both in Creation and Redemption, are done for the love of the creature so they also suffer the isolation of not being recognized, utilized and kept company.  It is in revisiting all of His works and recognizing His love there for us that we repay Him for all the good He does for us.

“My daughter, our works suffer isolation if they are not recognized as works done for love of creatures, because there was no other purpose in doing so many marvelous works in the Creation, than to give them so many testimonials of love.  We didn’t have any need, everything was done with an intense love for them.  Now if this love of ours does not become recognized in every created thing, our works remain alone, without cortege, without honors and as set apart by creatures.  So that the sky, the sun, the other created things are alone.  That [which] I did in the Redemption, my works, my sufferings, my tears and all the rest are isolated.  Now who forms the company to our works?  One who recognizes them and turning in them finds our palpating love for her, that longs for her company in order to give and to receive love.  So much so that when you turn in our Will in order to find our works and to recognize our love and putting there yours, I feel so very drawn that I almost always await you in every single work in order to enjoy your company, your cortege, and I feel as repaid for what I have done and suffered, and when you sometimes delay to come, I wait and I put myself on the look-out from within my works in order to see when you are about to come in order to enjoy your sweet company.  Therefore be attentive, do not make me wait.”
Vol. 30, February 10, 1932

By living in the Divine Will and keeping company with all the works of God, all these works claim this one as their own child to be loved and cherished.  So this soul possesses, by right, all the riches that they possess and they all compete in order to give to her.  They all love her as a true daughter and she is never alone.

“My daughter, Our daughter, the daughter of the Celestial Mama, the daughter of the Angels and of the Saints, the daughter of the heavens, the daughter of the sun, the daughter of the stars, the daughter of the sea; in sum, you are the daughter of all - all are fathers to you, and you are a daughter to all.   See how vast is the paternity!  How long is your daughtership!  Instead of oppressing yourself you should delight, thinking that all are fathers to you and you are a daughter to all.  Only one who lives in my Will can have the right to such vast paternity and to such a long daughtership – to be loved by all with paternal love, because all recognize in her their daughter.  In fact, since created things are all invested with my Will, wherever It reigns as triumphant and dominating, they see in you the same Will that reigns in them, therefore all hold you as the daughter of their wombs.  There are so many bonds between you and them as to surpass in an infinite way the natural bonds that exist between father and son.  Do you know who is not your father?  Only those who do not let my Will reign in them; these have no right over you, nor do you have any duty toward them – they are like something that does not belong to you.

“But do you know what it means to possess such a vast paternity and such a long daughtership?  It means to be bound with bonds of justice to all the riches, the glory, the honor, the privileges that such vast paternity possesses.  So, as my daughter, your Jesus gives you all the goods of Redemption as gifts; as Our daughter, you are endowed with all the goods of the Sacrosanct Trinity; as daughter of the Sovereign Queen, She gives to you Her sorrows, Her works, Her love and all of Her maternal merits as gifts; as daughter of the Angels and of the Saints, they compete among themselves to give you all of their goods; as daughter of the heavens, of the stars, of the sun, of the sea and of all created things, they feel honored to finally have their daughter, to be able to give their inheritance; and my very Will reigning in them, with Its endless light forms for you the deed of all Creation, and all feel the happiness, the joy of being able to give their inheritance, because by being able to give, they no longer feel sterile, but fecund, and fecundity brings joy, company, harmony, glory, the repetition of one’s very life.  How many fathers and mothers are unhappy, even though they are rich, because they have no offspring!  In fact, sterility in itself brings isolation, bitterness, lack of any support and of happiness; and if it may appear that they enjoy, in their hearts they have the thorn of sterility that embitters all their enjoyments.  So, your vast paternity which you possess, and your long daughtership is a cause of joy for all - and much more for my Will which, bilocating, reigns in you and constitutes you the daughter of all the things created by It, in such a way that all feel your support and the contentment of being able to give the goods they possess.  Therefore, your oppression is not justified in the midst of so many goods, of so much happiness, and of so many who protect you, defend you and love you as their true daughter.”
Vol. 19, September 5, 1926

So that one who lives in the the Divine Will is never alone but is always in communion with all the acts done in the Divine Will.  She feels herself loved by all of Heaven being part of the Celestial Family.  However one who doesn't live in the Divine Will feels themselves separated and isolated from Heaven.  So they suffer solitude and the dissimilarity of their acts from the Heavenly acts.

“My little daughter of my Volition, you should know that one who lives in my Fiat is never alone in her acts, she is incorporated in all that which he has done, does and will do, as much in herself, as in all creatures.  So that I felt in the love of my Mother the love of my daughter, and in the love of the daughter, the love of my Divine Mother.  Oh!  How beautiful were your little drops of love, invested by the seas of love of my Mama.  For one who lives in my Volition I feel Heaven flow in her acts, in her love, in her will, and I feel the creature in Heaven and her acts, her love, her will invests the Empyrean, to invade everyone and forms one act alone, one love alone and one will alone, and all Heaven feels itself loved, glorified in the creature, and she feels herself loved by all Heaven.  In my Will everything is unity, inseparability doesn’t exist, nor exists distance of places, or of times, the centuries disappear in my Volition and with his power he devours everything in one single breath/[fiato], and forms one single continuous act of everything.  What fortune for the one that lives in my Volition that can say:  I do that which one does in Heaven, and my love is not dissimilar from their love.  Only for one who doesn’t live in my Volition, her acts are separable, they suffer solitude, and are dissimilar from our acts, because not being invested by his power, that holds (the) virtue to convert into light that which one does in Him, hence not being light, they can not incorporate themselves with the acts of our Will, that being inaccessible light knows how to convert everything into light, and no wonder that light and light incorporate themselves together.”
Vol. 33, May 20, 1934

The Divine Will is always in the midst of Her creatures that is Her children, giving them life, sustenance, amusement and every means in order to nurture Her likeness in them.  But they do not even recognize Her.  They ignore, offend, ridicule, and despise Her.  So She is always the isolated, abandoned one.  When we suffer isolation and solitude we are able to comfort and keep company with the Divine Will in Her abandonment.  And what do you think will be the consolation that God will give to a soul that keeps Him company in this agonizing solitude?  This is the blessing in the sorrow of solitude and those that accept this calling will be called to be His exclusively and have the joy of being one in the Celestial Family of God.

“Daughter of my Supreme Volition, courage in your isolation.  This serves as company for my Will, abandoned by creatures.  The sorrow of Its isolation – oh! how harder than yours it is.  My Will is the Mother of all the wills of creatures.  As most tender Mother, She left Herself in the center of Creation in order to deliver the human wills and keep them all around Herself, to raise them upon Her knees, nourish them with the milk of Her celestial teachings, and make them grow in Her likeness, giving them all Creation in which to amuse themselves.  And since my Will is center of each created thing, wherever the creatures would go, She, as center of all things, would remain always near them, more than affectionate Mother, that they might never lack Her maternal cares, nor descend from Her nobility and likeness.

But, alas!, these daughters, the human wills, delivered by this Celestial Mother, my Will, despising and neglecting all Her maternal cares, Her love, Her tendernesses and attentions, even though my Will is near them - these human wills are far away from this Mother; many of them don’t even know Her; others despise Her and make fun of Her.  Poor Mother, which is my Will, in the midst of so many daughters delivered by Her - She remains isolated, abandoned; and while all of them take from Her own in order to live, they use it to grow in dissimilarity from Her, and to offend Her.  Can there be greater sorrow for a mother than the abandonment of her children?  Not to be known by the fruit of her own womb, which, turning into enemies, offend the one who brought them to the light?  Therefore, the sorrow of isolation of my Will is great and inconceivable.  So, may your isolation be the company of this isolated Mother, who cries and searches for Her children; but as much as She cries, shouts, and calls Her children, whether with the most tender voices, with the most bitter tears, with the most ardent sighs, or with the most thundering voices of chastisements, these unruly children keep far away from the womb of She who generated them.  My daughter, do you not want to share, as true faithful daughter of my Will, in Her sorrow and in Her isolation?”

What is Truth?

When I was young it seemed so easy to know what was true, what was right and what was wrong.   In today's world there is deception everywhere even where one thinks it would not be possible.  So I want to review this topic so that truth can be known clearly because Jesus frequently speaks on this in the Volumes.  When Pilate asked Jesus, "What is truth?"  Jesus was ready to answer but was not given the chance.  All of Jesus is truth and it can be witnessed in everything He is, says and does.

I was following the Hours of the Passion of my sweet Jesus, especially when He was presented to Pilate, who asked Him what His Kingdom was.  And my always lovable Jesus told me:  “My daughter, that was the first time in my terrestrial Life that I dealt with a gentile authority, who asked Me what my Kingdom was.  And I answered him that my Kingdom is not of this world, for if it were of this world, thousands of legions of Angels would defend Me.  But with this, I opened my Kingdom to the gentiles, and communicated my celestial doctrines to them; so much so, that Pilate asked me:  ‘What? You are a king?’  And immediately I answered him:  ‘I am King, and I have come into the world to teach the truth.’  With this, I wanted to make my way into his mind in order to make Myself known; so much so that, touched, he asked Me:  ‘What is the truth?’  But he did not wait for my answer; I did not have the good of making Myself understood.  I would have said to him:  ‘I am the truth; everything is truth in Me.  Truth is my patience in the midst of so many insults; truth is my sweet gaze among so many derisions, slanders, contempts.  Truths are my gentle and attractive manners in the midst of so many enemies, who hate Me while I love them, and who want to give Me death, while I want to embrace them and give them Life.  Truths are my words, full of dignity and of celestial wisdom - everything is truth in Me.  The truth is more than majestic sun which, as much as one may want to trample upon it, rises more beautiful and bright, to the point of shaming its very enemies, and of knocking them down at its feet.

Pilate asked Me with sincerity of heart, and I was ready to answer.  Herod, rather, asked Me with malice and curiosity, and I did not answer.  So, to those who want to know holy things with sincerity, I reveal Myself more than they expect; but with those who want to know them with malice and curiosity, I hide Myself, and while they want to make fun of Me, I confound them and make fun of them.  However, since my Person carried the truth with Itself, It performed Its office also in front of Herod.  My silence at the stormy questions of Herod, my humble gaze, the air of my Person, all full of sweetness, of dignity and of nobility, were all truths - and operating truths.”

Vol. 14, June 1, 1922

Although Jesus would have spoken to Pilate He remained silent before Herod because Herod had no real desire to know the truth.  Herod only wanted to make a fool of Jesus.  If Jesus had answered him the truth would have made a fool of Herod so He remained silent.

“My daughter, Herod did not question Me in order to know the truth, but out of curiosity and to make a fool of Me; and if I had answered, I would have made a fool of him, because when the will to know the truth and to execute it is missing, the humor in order to receive the heat which the light of my truths brings with itself, is missing in the soul.  Not finding the humidity in order to make the truths germinate and fecundate, this heat burns even more, and makes the good it can produce wither.  It happens as to the sun:  when it does not find humidity on the plants, its heat serves to wither and burn the life of the plants; but if it finds humidity, it makes prodigies.  So, the truth is beautiful, it is lovable, it is the reviver and the fecundator of souls; with its light and heat it forms prodigies of development, of graces and of sanctity – but for those who love to know it in order to execute it.  On the other hand, with those who do not love to execute it, it is the truth that mocks them, rather than remaining mocked itself.”
Vol. 20, January 4, 1927

When one wants to know a truth and desires it, it is like the appetite that prepares the soul, disposing the intelligence to understand it, the memory to remember it.   This moves God to give it to the soul, making the truth known to her because the soul will be satisfied and content with receiving it and God will never do a useless act.  Without the desire of the good the soul would only be nauseated and disgusted by it.  So that those who do not long for the truths of God will instead loose what little they might have.  This is the meaning in the Gospel: Matt 25:29   "... to all those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away."

Because you should know that He holds a longing, an ardent desire to always want to work, but he goes finding one who wants to listen and one who wants to receive his creative virtue, in order not to expose his works to uselessness, and in order to be secure he goes finding his same Will in the soul, and finding him he finds his works guaranteed by his same Divine Fiat, therefore he does not spare anything and he makes for you the most beautiful works and the greatest prodigies. Oh, Power of my omnipotent Volition, if everyone might know you, they might love you and might let you reign, earth would be changed into Heaven!”
Vol. 29, August 22, 1931

“My daughter, the desire for a good, for knowing it, purges the soul and disposes her intelligence to comprehend it, her memory to remember it; her will feels its appetite for it being whet, to make of it its food and life; and it moves God to give her that good and to make it known.  So, the desire for a good, for knowing it, is like the appetite for food.  When there is appetite, one feels the taste, eats with pleasure, remains satisfied and content with having taken that food, and is left with the desire to enjoy it again.  On the other hand, if there is no appetite, that same food which is enjoyed so eagerly by someone, causes nausea and disgust to someone else who has no appetite, and he may reach the point of suffering because of it.  Such is the desire for the soul - it is like appetite; and in seeing that the desire for my things is her delight, to the point of making of them her food and life, I abound – I abound so much in giving, that I never tire of giving.  On the other hand, one who does not desire them, because the appetite is missing, will feel nausea for my things, and that Gospel saying will be repeated:  ‘It will be given to one who has, while one who does not desire my goods, my truths, celestial things, will be deprived of the little he has’.  Just penalty for one who does not desire, has no appetite for, and wants to know nothing about the things that belong to Me.  And if he has any little thing at all, it is right that it be taken away from him and be given to those who possess much.”

Vol. 19, September 3, 1926

Jesus states that He is the way, the truth and the life.  The one flows into the other and from them proceeds life.  So here we find another image of the Holy Trinity and Jesus explains how he is the living truth that leads to the Father.  To manifest a truth to the creature is to give Himself  to the creature and in giving Himself He binds the creature more and more to God with a greater happiness, because truth/Jesus belongs to God and God is life.  God wants to give and give in abundance but He is limited by man's capacity, his desire and response to His gifts.

4 And you know the way to the place where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
John 14: 4-7

Jesus is light, and light is truth.
As I was in my usual state, blessed Jesus made Himself seen all light, and said these simple words:  “I am light - but what is light made of?  What is the principle of it?  It is truth.  So, I am light because I am truth.  Therefore, in order for the soul to be light and to have light in all of her actions, these must come from truth.  Wherever there is artifice, deception and duplicity, there cannot be light - but darkness.”  And He disappeared like a flash.
Vol. 8, September 3, 1908

“Listen:  my Being is led by an irresistible force to communicate Itself to the creature.  I have yet many more things to tell you - many more truths which you do not know.  All of my truths carry the happiness that each one contains, and as many truths as the soul knows, so many different happinesses she acquires.
Vol. 13, January 5, 1922

"...do you want to know what are our most beautiful gifts that we make the creature?  To manifest to her a knowledge of our Supreme Being, a truth that pertains to us, one secret of ours is the most beautiful gift that we make her; each of these gifts is one more bond that we put between Her and us, our every truth is a property that we put in her soul."
Vol. 29, Aug.3, 1931.

“My daughter, courage, do not fear; there is no darkness in you, because only sin is darkness, while good is light.  Don’t you see how I have come out a foundation of light from within your interior?  But do you know what this light is?  It is all the interior operating that you do.  Each additional act you do is one more filament of your will which you bind to the current of the eternal light; and that filament turns into light.  So, the more acts you do, adding more filaments, the more full, intense and bright the light will become.  Therefore, what you have done is the light that you see, and what is left for you to do is the void that you see within that same light.  And I will remain always in the midst of this light, not only to enjoy it, but to bind the filaments of the human will to the current of the eternal light, because I am the origin, the foundation, the current of the light.  But do you know what true light is?  True light is the truth.  The truth, known, embraced, loved and put into practice by the soul, is the true light, which transforms her into light itself, and causes new and continuous births of light to be placed inside and outside of her.  This truth forms the true Life of God within the soul, because God is truth, and the soul is bound to the truth - even more, she possesses it.  God is light, and she is bound to the light, and is nourished with light and with truth.  However, while I nourish the soul with truth and with light, she must keep the current of her will opened, in order to receive the current of the divine communication.  Otherwise, it can happen as with the electric current, to which its own electrical characteristics are not enough – the light is lacking, the preparations are needed in order to receive it.  And, still, the light does not reach everyone equally, but according to the light bulbs they have:  those who have one, receive one light; those who have ten, receive light for ten.  And if the light bulbs contain more electric filaments, the lamps appear as more full of light; if they have less filaments, even though there is room inside the glass, the light is small.  And even if the place where the current comes from can give more light, one does not receive it, because the strength of the electricity in order to receive it is lacking in the light bulbs.  Therefore, it takes the celestial current which wants to give, as well as the human current in order to receive it; and according to your operating, you will add more filaments to render more complete the light which I want to enclose within you.”
Vol. 17, March 1, 1925

Not everyone will understand these truths, these gifts of God, but they can still enjoy it's effects to some degree.  But not being truly appreciated, longed for, nor loved they will be considered little more than a trifle and often put aside.  Jesus, however, will not be stopped, just like the sun can not be stopped.  He will continue His course with His truths with others who will appreciate them and make them the center of their lives.

See, also the things which can be seen down here are not understood by man.  Who can ever tell how I created the sun, or how much light and heat it contains?  Yet, they see it, they enjoy its effects; it is with them all day, and its heat and light follow them everywhere.  Yet, with all this, they neither know nor can they tell its height, or the light and heat it possesses.  And if anyone wanted to raise himself in order to know it, the light would eclipse him, and the heat would burn him up.  So, man is forced to keep his eyes low and enjoy its light, without being able to investigate it, contenting himself with saying:  ‘It is sun’.
So, if this happens with the sun which can be seen and which I created for the natural good of man, more so with the truths, which contain, oh! how much more light and heat than the sun itself; especially the truths that regard my Will, which contain eternal effects, goods and value.  Who can ever measure all that It contains?  It would be as though wanting to be eclipsed.  It would be better for them to lower their foreheads and enjoy the light which my truth brings, loving it and making that little light which the human intelligence comprehends their own, rather than putting it aside, as something which does not belong to them, because they do not comprehend all the fullness of its light.  So, they enjoy the light of the sun as much as they can, although they do not comprehend it; they make use of it in order to work, to walk, to look and – oh! how they long for daytime, so that its light may keep them company and live with them.  But then, my truths, which are more than light and make the sun of the day rise in the human minds, are neither regarded, nor loved, nor longed for, and are considered as a trifle.  What sorrow!  However, when I see that they put my truths aside, I put them aside, and I allow my truths to follow their course with souls who love them and long for them, and use their light in order to model their lives and become one with them.  Do you think that I have told you everything about the truths, the effects and the value that my truth contains?  Oh, how many more suns I have to make rise!  And do not be surprised if you do not comprehend everything.  Be content with living of Its light - this is enough for Me.”
Vol. 14, June 23, 1922

It is my Will that wants to follow Its course to make Itself known; and my Will is more than sun, and it takes too much to hide the light of the sun - it is completely impossible.  If they stop it on one side, it surpasses the obstacle which they have placed before it, and squeezing through the other sides, it follows its way with majesty, leaving those who wanted to prevent its course confused, because they have seen it escape from all sides without being able to catch it.  A lamp can be hidden, but the sun – never.  Such is my Will - more than sun; and if you want to hide It, it will be impossible for you.  Therefore be quiet, my daughter, and let the eternal Sun of my Will follow Its course, whether through the writings, or through print, or through your words and your manners.  Let It escape like light, and cover the whole world - I long for it, I want it.  And besides, how much, really, of the truths about my Will was put out?  It can be said it was just the atoms of Its light; and even though atoms still - if you knew the good they do!  What will happen when, after all the truths I have spoken to you about my Will have been gathered together, the fecundity of Its light, the goods It contains, united all together, will form, not just the atoms or the rising sun, but its full midday?  What good will this eternal Sun not produce in the midst of creatures?  And you and I will be happier in seeing my Will known, loved and fulfilled.  Therefore, let Me do.
Vol. 17, April 26, 1925

Each truth is a new creation formed in the soul that  Jesus wants to extend throughout so that everyone might know them.  Wanting to hide these truths is to dishonor God.  When the truth is made known it is like light which by itself extends itself everywhere.  It's light is so great that it would eclipse the sun.  What Jesus does in the soul with these truths is greater than the Creation

“My daughter, my word is creative, and when I speak, making known a truth that belongs to Me, it is nothing less than new divine creations that I make in the soul.  And just as, when I created the heavens, with one single Fiat I stretched them out and studded them with billions of stars - so much so, that there is not one place of the earth from which this heaven cannot be seen; and if from some points it could not be seen, it would be a dishonor for the creative power, and some could say that the creative force did not have the power to extend everywhere - in the same way, my truths are more than heavens, which I would want to make known to all, from one end of the earth to another, and make them pass from mouth to mouth like many stars, to adorn the heaven of the truths I manifested.

“If the creature wanted to hide my truths, it would be as if she wanted to prevent Me from creating the heavens; and by the secret she would want to keep, she would dishonor Me, as if someone wanted to prevent others from looking at the heavens, at the sun, and at all the other things created by Me, so as not to make Me known.  Ah! my daughter, the truth is light, and light extends by itself; but in order for it to extend, it is necessary to make it known - the rest it will do by itself.  Otherwise, it will remain compressed, without the good of being able to illuminate, and to follow the course it wants.  Therefore, be attentive, and do not prevent Me from extending the light of my truths.”
Vol. 13, January 30, 1922

‘How good Jesus is.  It seems to me that He greatly delights in communicating Himself to the creature, and that He takes so much pleasure in manifesting His truths, that while He is saying one, that very truth is a spur for Him, and almost draws Him with an irresistible force to manifest more truths.  What goodness!  What love!’  And Jesus came out again from within my interior, and placing His face close to mine, added:  “My daughter, you do not know what it means to manifest my truths, and this is why you marvel at my pleasure and at the irresistible force I feel to manifest Myself to the creature.  And one who is willing to listen to Me forms my joy and my delights in conversing with her.  You must know that when I manifest one truth of mine which is not known, it is a new creation that I make, and I love very much to unleash from Myself the many goods and secrets which I contain.  But as much as I may speak, since I am that Act ever new that never repeats Itself, I always yearn to say more; and as I speak, I always have more new things that I would like to say, because that newness is never exhausted in Me - I am always new in love, new in beauty, new in contentments, in harmonies – new in everything, and ever new.  And this is why I do not tire anyone, I always have new things to give and to say, and the irresistible force that pushes Me to manifest Myself is my immense love.  In an outpouring of love I issued the Creation; everything that can be seen in the whole universe was all inside of Me.  Love made the shadow of my light overflow from my interior, and I created the sun; the shadow of my immensity and of my harmonies, and I stretched out the heavens, harmonizing them with many stars and celestial spheres.  These and other things which I created were nothing other than shadows of mine which I issued from Myself; and my love had its outpouring, and I took great delight in seeing what was contained in Me, spread out in little particles hovering over all Creation.

Now, what will my joy be in manifesting my truths, which are not shadows of mine that come out of Me, but the substance of the goods that I contain within Me; and which speak of Me, not in a mute language like all created things do, but with clear, sonorous and eloquent voice; and which, since my word is creative, like a new creation create in the soul the truths that I manifest?  If with one Fiat I created many things, in manifesting my truths it is not just one Fiat that I pronounce, but as many words for as many as are needed in order to manifest and to have souls comprehend that which I want them to understand.  Imagine, then, what my contentment is in manifesting my truths to the soul who, not in a mute language, but with speaking voice, will manifest my goods, my truths, to others, in order to infuse in others the good she has received.  Therefore, in manifesting my truths, my love finds its outpouring and becomes festive, and I greatly love one who is willing to listen to Me.”
Vol. 15, July 1, 1923

my second confessor came, who is also deceased, and he told me:  “Tell me what Jesus said to you - I want to hear it, so that the light of the divine truths may unite to the many lights of the truths which the Lord spoke to you, and with which, in hearing them from you when I was alive, I remained as though impregnated.  Now the Lord has sent me to confirm for me the recompense of the merit I acquired by wanting to hear those truths.  If you knew what it means to hear the divine truths, what charm of light they contain, such that the sun would remain eclipsed, and the good they bring to the one who speaks them and to the one who listens to them, you would compete – you, in speaking them, and the one who feels the duty to do so, in listening to them.  Therefore, hurry, tell me - what did He say to you?”  And I, remembering that Jesus had told me what charity means, told him that.  My words turned into light and invested him; then, all content, he disappeared from me.

Now I will say what Jesus had told me about charity:  “My daughter, true charity, with its power, can convert all things into love. Look at fire:  all varieties of wood and any other thing - it converts them all into fire; and if it did not have the power to convert everything into fire, it could not be given the name of true fire.  The same for the soul: if she does not convert all things into love – both supernatural and natural things, joys and bitternesses, and everything that surrounds her – she cannot be said to possess true charity.”
Vol. 15, June 15, 1923

“My daughter, everything I do in the soul – oh, how it surpasses all that I did in Creation!   See, each knowledge of my perfections which I manifest, each truth which pertains to the Divinity, is a new heaven that I extend within the soul.   And as the soul rises in the truths she has known in order to resemble her Creator, it is new suns that I come to form within the space of these heavens.   Each grace I pour and each time I renew her union with Me, are seas that are laid in the soul; and her love and correspondence form the sweet murmuring of these seas, as well as mighty waves which rise up to Heaven and come to unload themselves at the foot of the divine throne.  As the soul practices her virtues, since the body too contributes to the exercise of them, the body can be called the little field of the soul, over which I lay the most beautiful flowery meadows, in which I delight in creating ever new flowers, plants and fruits.
Vol. 19, April 4, 1926

Each truth revealed to the creature and accepted by them is a new happiness, a new beatitude, which causes all of Heaven to rejoice, but the truths which contain the most glory are about the Divine Will.  For a soul to receive these truths they must first want to live of the Divine Will, then want to know It, and thirdly truly appreciate It, valuing It above all things.

Each truth contains within itself a distinct beatitude, happiness, joy and beauty.  What it means to have known on earth one more truth about the Divine Will when the soul is in Heaven.

“My daughter, the more truths I manifest to you, the more specialties of beatitudes I give to you as gift.  Each truth contains within itself a distinct beatitude, happiness, joy and beauty; so, every additional truth you know brings beatitude, happiness, joy and beauty into yourself, with which you are enriched.  These are divine seeds that the soul receives, and by manifesting them to others, she communicates these seeds and enriches whomever receives them.  Now, since the truths that one has known on earth are divine seeds which sprout with beatitudes, joy, etc., when the soul is in her Fatherland in Heaven they will be like electric wires of communication through which the Divinity will release from Its womb so many acts of beatitude for as many truths as she has known.  Oh! how inundated the soul will be, as though by many different immense seas.  She already has the seed, and by having the seed, she has the space in which to receive these immense seas of happiness, of joy and of beauty.  One who does not have the seed - who has not known a truth while on earth - lacks the space to be able to receive these beatitudes.

“It happens as to a little one who did not want to study all the languages.  As he grows up, and hears these languages being spoken, which he did not want to study, or which he was not given the opportunity of studying - he will understand nothing.  In fact, by not wanting to study, his intelligence remained closed, and he made no effort to prepare a little space in order to comprehend those languages.  At the most, he will be amazed, and will enjoy from someone else’s happiness, but he will not possess it, nor will he be the cause of happiness for others.  See then, what it means to know one truth more, or one truth less - if all knew what great goods they miss, they would compete in order to acquire truths.

“Now, the truths are the secretaries of my beatitudes, and if I do not manifest them to souls, they do not break the secret which they contain.  They swim within my Divinity, waiting for their turn to act as divine agents, and make Me known - how many more beatitudes I contain.  And the longer they have remained hidden in my womb, the more uproariously and majestically they come out to inundate the creatures and manifest my glory.

“Do you believe that all of Heaven is aware of all my goods?  No, no!  Oh! how much remains for It to enjoy, which It does not enjoy today.  Each creature who enters into Heaven, having known one more truth, which was unknown to the others, will carry within herself the seed so as to have new contentments, new joys and new beauty released from Me.  And these souls will be their cause and fount, while the others will take part in them.  The last day will not come if I do not find souls who are disposed, so that I may reveal all my truths - so that the Celestial Jerusalem may resound with my complete glory, and all the Blessed may share in all of my beatitudes, some as direct cause for having known that truth, and some as indirect cause, through the one who has known it.

“Now, my daughter, in order to console you, and so that you may be more attentive in listening to my truths, I want to tell you which ones are the truths that glorify Me the most:  they are those which regard my Will, since the primary reason for which I created man was that his will be one with his Creator.  But man, having withdrawn from my Will, rendered himself unworthy to know the values, the effects and all the truths It contains.  This is the reason for all my attentions with you:  that between Me and you, our wills would run together, and be always in highest accord.  In fact, so that the soul may open the doors and become disposed to knowing the truths that my Will contains, the first thing is wanting to live of my Will, the second is wanting to know It, the third is to appreciate It.  Therefore, with you I opened the doors of my Will, that you might know Its secrets, which man had buried inside my womb, as well as Its effects and the value It contains; and as many truths as you come to know about my Will, so many seeds you receive, and so many divine secretaries form your cortege.  Oh! how they make feast around you, having found one to whom to confide their secret.  But they will make the most beautiful feast when they will bring you to Heaven - when the Divinity, at your very entrance, will release so many different beatitudes of joy, of happiness and of beauty, all different among themselves, which will not only inundate you, but all the Blessed will take part in them.  Oh! how Heaven awaits your coming, to enjoy these new contentments.”

Vol. 13, January 25, 1922

... the confessor told me (Luisa's late confessor):  “You must know that when Jesus speaks to you and manifests His truths to you, it is rays of light that drop upon you.  Back then, when you manifested them to me, not having His virtue, you manifested them drop by drop, and yet my soul remained all filled with those drops of light.  That light gave me greater spur, more desire to hear more truths, to be able to receive more light, because the truths bring celestial fragrance and divine sensation - and this, by just hearing them.  What will it be for those who practice them?  This is why I loved - I desired so much to hear what Jesus told you, and I wanted to tell others:  it was light and fragrance that I felt, and I wanted others to share in them.  If you knew the great good that my soul has received in hearing the truths which Jesus was saying to you!  How it still drips with light, and emanates celestial fragrance, which not only gives me refreshment, but serves as light to me and to those who are near me.  And as you do your acts in the Divine Volition, I take special part in them, because I feel the seed of His Most Holy Will which you were sowing in me.”  And I:  ‘Let me see your soul - how does it drip with light?’  He opened himself on the side of the heart, and I saw his soul all dripping with light.  Those drops were merging and separating, one flowing over the other - it was beautiful to look at.  And he:  “Have you seen?  How beautiful it is to hear the truths!  Those who do not hear them drip with such darkness as to strike terror.”

Vol. 14, March 13, 1922

Truth can be known only when it is loved.  Without love the creature would not strive to know the truth nor put it into practice.  It is in this work of "chewing on the truths" that the creature takes possession of the good within the truth.  Then the soul must put these truths into action in order that they will have their effect.  Without this effort the creature will never fully understand and value it but will instead pass ignorant judgements on it.  This is so true that it is easier for the simple to acquire these truths than the learned because the learned are often blinded by pride.  If one is not disposed to receive the truth they receive nothing and do not understand anything in these readings.  More so they will only remain more confused being dazzled by the light of God's Truths.

"...know that a truth in order to know it it is necessary to love it.  Love makes the appetite arise, the appetite forms the taste, the taste makes arise the hunger to eat of it to satiate, and chewing very well the substance of a food, or rather my truths.  The chewing produces the easy digestion in a way that one feels the possession of the great good that my truth possesses and produces.  Then the doubts quit, difficulties melt as snow before the rays of a scorching sun.  Now if hardly they have grazed them without eating them, with a profound study, with a love that generates the appetite what wonder!  What makes doubts and difficulty?  Oh, how they would have done better to say:  ‘it is not food for us, we don’t have (the) will to eat it’, rather than to give judgments.  But one knows, that my truths find post more in the simple hearts than in the learned hearts.  This happened in my Redemption, with my sorrow not one learned one followed Me; but all the poor, ignorant and simple ones.  You should know that my truths are seeds that I the Celestial Farmer continue to sow in souls, and if I make my seeding(,) with certainty I must gather the fruit."

Our Lord made Himself seen once again with the crown of thorns on His head, all dripping with blood; and turning to me, He said:  “Daughter, take a look at what men do to Me.  In these sad times their pride is so great that they have poisoned all the air; and the stench that spreads everywhere is such that it has reached even before my throne in Heaven.  They act in such a way as to close Heaven by themselves.  The miserable ones do not have eyes to know the truth, because they are obfuscated by the sin of pride, followed by the other vices which they bring with themselves.  O please! give Me a relief from so many bitter spasms, and a reparation for so many wrongdoings against Me.”

Vol. 1, The victim begins to perform her office, taking part in the pains of Jesus crowned with thorns, to make reparation for sins, especially pride.  Fasting begins for Luisa.

“My daughter, in order to know the truths, it is necessary to have the will, the desire, to know them.  Imagine a room in which the shutters are closed:  no matter how much sun there may be outside, the room remains always in the dark.  Now, opening the shutters means wanting light.  But this is not enough if one does not take advantage of the light to reorder the room, dust it, and put himself to work, so as not to kill the light which is given, and become ungrateful.  In the same way, it is not enough to have the will to know the truths if, at the light of the truth which illuminates him, one does not try to dust himself of his own weaknesses, reorder himself according to the light of the truth he knows, and put himself to work together with the light of truth, making of it his own substance, in such a way that the light of the truth which he has absorbed may shine forth from his mouth, from his hands, from his bearing.  It would be as if he killed the truth; and by not putting it into practice, it would be like remaining in total disorder before the light.  Poor room full of light, but all messy, upside down, in total disorder, with a person in it who does not take the care of reordering it - how pitiful would it not be?  Such is one who knows the truths, and does not put them into practice.

“However, know that simplicity enters into all truths as the first nourishment.  If the truths were not simple, they would not be light, and they could not penetrate into human minds to enlighten them; and where there is no light, objects cannot be distinguished.  Simplicity is not only light, but it is like the air that one breathes which, though it cannot be seen, gives respiration to all; and if it wasn’t for the air, the earth and everyone would remain without motion.  Therefore, if the virtues, the truths, do not carry the mark of simplicity, they will be without light and without air.”
Vol. 13, November 19, 1921

“My operating is communicative and always in act, without ever stopping.  However, many times these channels are covered with mud by creatures; others throw stones into them, and the water does not flow freely, but with difficulty.  It is not that the sea does not want to give water, or that the water cannot penetrate everywhere because it is not clear; rather, it is the creatures that oppose such a great good.  Therefore, if they read these truths not being disposed, they will not understand a thing.  They will remain confused and dazzled by the Light of my Truths.  For those who are disposed, it will be Light which will light them up, and water which will quench their thirst, in such a way that they will never want to detach themselves from these channels because of the great good they feel, and the new life which flows in them.  Therefore, you too should be happy to open these channels for the good of your brothers, neglecting nothing about my truths - not even the tiniest thing, because as tiny as it may be, it can serve one of your brothers in order to draw water.  So, be attentive in opening these channels, and in contenting your Jesus, who has done so much for you.”
Vol. 13, October 23, 1921

When the truth enters souls it illuminates and vivifies them, making them fecund with virtues, however voluntary defects can block the truth from entering, but when it is involuntary defects the truth can pierce these shadows, melting them away.

“The truth is light, which the Word brought upon earth.  Just as the sun illuminates, vivifies and fecundates the earth, so does the light of truth give life and light, and it renders souls fecund with virtues.  Even though many clouds obfuscate this light of truth, which are the iniquities of men, in spite of this, it does not cease to send forth glimmers of vivifying light from behind the clouds, so as to warm souls.  And if these clouds are clouds of imperfection and of involuntary defects, this light, piercing them with its heat, makes them vanish and it penetrates freely into the soul.”
I understood that the soul must be attentive not to fall even into a shade of voluntary defects, which are those dangerous clouds that prevent the entrance of divine light.
Vol. 3, February 12, 1900

The soul must ruminate within her mind on the truths she has learned.
I was thinking: ‘How bad I have become – yet, the Lord does not correct me; He does not scold me.’  While I was thinking of this, I felt Him move in my interior, telling me:  “My daughter, keep walking, keep walking… If I am goodness, mercy, sweetness, I am also justice, strength, power.  If I saw you go backward or commit voluntary defects after the so many graces I have given you, you would deserve to be struck by lightning, and indeed I would strike you.  If I do not do it, you yourself can understand why; and if I do not always speak to you - ruminate constantly in your mind on all the truths I have taught you, then enter into your interior, unite yourself with Me, and I will always be with you, operating interiorly.”
Vol. 8, July 4, 1907

However inconstancy and volubility are signs that the truth has not taken full possession of the soul.  When the light of truth takes possession of a soul she is constant and willing to sacrifice everything for the love of it, despising everything that doesn't belong to the truth.

My daughter, the thing that displeases Me the most is inconstancy and volubility, because this is the sign that the truth has not taken possession of these souls. Even in things of religion, it may be that they find their satisfaction, their own convenience and interest, or that they just find themselves in that party; but tomorrow these things may be missing, or they may find themselves involved in other parties - and here is how they deviate from religion, and with no regret they give themselves to other sects. Indeed, when the true light of Truth enters a soul and takes possession of a heart, she is not subject to inconstancy. On the contrary, she sacrifices everything for love of It and to let herself be mastered by It alone; and with unconquered heart she despises everything else which does not belong to the Truth.”

Vol. 4, March 31, 1901

To enjoy the benefits of the sun one must keeps ones eyes open, so it is with the light of truth.  In order to reach the fullness of this, one must act to please Jesus alone.  Everyone else remains in darkness.  So, because of pride not everyone will recognize truth and likewise they won't accept the work that God has done in Luisa.   The same as with Jesus' own life on earth.  This is especially true with the priests and the spiritual authorities just as in Jesus' days.  The higher up one is the greater the temptation to pride, but crosses act as a press to the soul forcing pride, self love and the passions out of the soul.  This leaves a snow white canvas for the virtues to apply themselves.  The same for when Jesus is about to reveal a truth on His Will.  First the crosses pave the way to remove that which is human in order to make way for the Divine and the greater the truth to greater the cross.  Wanting everything to go smoothly, easily, and to be accepted by all is to deviate from the imitation of Jesus' own Life.

“The sun is there for the benefit of all, but not everyone enjoys its beneficial effects.  In the same way, the Divine Sun gives Its light to all, but who enjoys Its beneficial effects?  One who keeps his eyes open to the light of truth.  All others, even if they are exposed to the Sun, remain in the dark.  However, it is one who is all intent on pleasing Me that truly enjoys and receives all the fullness of this Sun.”
Vol. 5, June 16, 1903

And Jesus: “My daughter, crosses, sorrows, pains, are like a press for the soul.   Just as the wine-press serves to crush and peel the grapes, in such a way that the wine remains on one side and the skin on the other; in the same way, crosses and pains, like a press, peel the soul of pride, of love of self, of passions, and of all that is human, leaving the pure wine of virtues.  And so my virtues find the way to communicate themselves and lay themselves within the soul as on a snow-white canvas, with indelible characters.  How can you fear, then, if every time I have manifested to you my truths on my Will, these truths have always been preceded by crosses, sorrows and pains – and the higher the truths, the more intense and the stronger the pains?  It was nothing other than the pressure of the press which I exercised in you, in order to peel you of all that is human.  It was my interest, more than yours, that these truths would not be mixed with the skin of human passions.”
Vol. 16,  December 26, 1923

“My daughter, my Will wants to give Itself to you more and more; and in order to give Itself more, It wants to make Itself understood more.  And in order to render what It manifests to you more stable, safer, more estimable, It gives you new pains so as to dispose you more, and to prepare in you the empty space in which to place Its truths.  It wants the noble cortege of pain in order to be sure about the soul, and to be able to trust her.  It is always pain and crosses that open the doors to new manifestations, to more secret lessons, to the greatest gifts which I want to place in you.  In fact, if the soul bears my suffering and sorrowful Will, she will become capable of receiving my delighting Will, and will acquire the hearing in order to understand the new lessons of my Will.  Pain will make her acquire the celestial language, in such a way that she will be able to repeat the new lessons she has learned.”
Vol. 17, June 25, 1925

Jesus appeared a little disappointed with him, because it seemed that the confessor wanted everyone to approve that my situation was a work from God, and almost wanted to convince other priests by showing them something of my interior.

Jesus turned to the confessor and said to him:  “This is impossible. Even I received oppositions, and from people among the most distinguished, and also from priests and other authorities.  They found fault with my holy works, to the point of saying that I was possessed by the devil.  But I allow these oppositions, even from religious people, so that the truth may shine more in its own time.  If you want to consult with two or three priests among the most good and holy, and also learned, in order to receive enlightenment and also to do what I want in the things to be done, which is advice from the good and prayer - this, I allow.  But the rest - no, no.  It would be as though wanting to waste my works, making fun of them - which displeases Me very much.”

Then He said to me:  “All I want from you is an upright and simple operating.  Do not bother about the pros and the cons of creatures; let them think what they want, without being the least troubled, since wanting that all be favorable is wanting to deviate from the imitation of my own Life.”
Vol. 2, May 31, 1899

The sun, symbol of God's grace and truth, is freely given to all but many walk deliberately with their eyes closed and voluntarily live in the dark amidst enemies and danger.  Some would even reach such ingratitude as to pluck out their own eyes.  But still God's grace continues to follow them always trying to send them glimmers of light, of truth.

“Take a look at how ungrateful men are to Me.  The light of the sun fills the whole earth, from one end to another, in such a way that there is no land which does not enjoy the benefit of its light, and there is no one who can complain about being without its beneficial influence.  In fact, investing the whole universe, the sun takes it as though in hand to be able to give light to all.  Only one who, escaping from its hand, goes to hide in dark places can complain of not enjoying its light; and yet, continuing its charitable office, the sun does not cease to send him a few glimmers of light through its fingers.  So is my Grace, an image of the sun, which inundates the people everywhere:  poor and rich, ignorant and learned, Christians and unbelievers - no one, no one can say he is without it, because the light of truth and the influence of my Grace fill the earth, more than the sun in its full midday.

But what pain is mine in seeing people who, passing through this light with their eyes closed and confronting my Grace with the pestilent torrent of their iniquities, deviate from this light and live voluntarily in dark places, in the midst of cruel enemies?  They are exposed to a thousand dangers, because, not having light, they cannot know clearly whether they are in the midst of friends or enemies, and therefore shun the dangers that surround them.

Ah, if the sun had reason and men were able to give this affront to its light, and some of them, to irritate its light and not to see it, reached such ingratitude as to pluck their eyes out so as to be more sure of living in darkness – ah!, instead of sending light, the sun would send laments and cries of sorrow, such as to turn all nature upside down!   Yet, that which one would have horror in doing to natural light, men reach such excess as to do to my Grace, treating it in this way.  But my Grace, always benign with them, in the midst of darkness itself and of the madness of their blindness, always sends glimmers of light, because my Grace never leaves anyone.   It is man who voluntarily goes out of it, and Grace, not having him within itself, tries to follow him with glimmers of its light.”
Vol. 3, March 9, 1900

This is why it is so necessary to keep one's mind open to the light of the truth otherwise one will not understand anything.  But Jesus will continue little by little to reveal this way of living in the Divine Will.

This is also why I often speak to you about the living in my Will, which I have not manifested to anyone until now.  At the most, they have known the shadow of my Will, the grace, the sweetness that doing It contains; but to penetrate inside of It, to embrace immensity, to multiply oneself with Me and penetrate everywhere, even while being on earth, both into Heaven and into the hearts, to lay down the human ways and act with the divine ways - this is not yet known; so much so, that not to a few will it appear strange, and those who do not keep their minds open to the light of truth will not understand a thing.  But I, little by little, will make my way, manifesting now one truth, now another, of this living in my Will, so that they will end up comprehending It.
Vol. 12, January 29, 1919

God is eternal Truth, unable to deceive and unable to be deceived.  When the soul clearly sees her nothingness  arriving to a point of no self-interest and her complete dependence on God, this creates the void where God communicates His Grace of truth so that the creature can see the truth in everything becoming, through Grace, what God is by nature.  But the soul must love and "chew" on these truths in order to make a permanent home for them within herself.  Jesus wanted to be circumcised in order to demonstrate this necessity of humility because the soul must humble herself in order to understand the truth.   In doing so she comes to understand her nothingness and then wants to strive along the path of virtues.

This morning blessed Jesus made Himself seen for just a little, and told me:  “My daughter, the greatest honor that the creature can give to God is to depend on His Divine Will in everything; and the Creator, in seeing that the creature fulfills her duty of creature toward the Creator, communicates His Grace to her.”  And while He was saying this, a light came out of blessed Jesus, which made me comprehend the way in which He communicates Grace.

I understood it in this way.  For example, the soul feels within herself the annihilation of herself; she sees her nothingness, her misery, her inability to do a shadow of good.  Now, while she feels this way, God communicates His Grace, and the Grace of truth, in such a way that the soul can see the truth in everything without deceit, without darkness.  And here is how, what God is by nature – eternal Truth which cannot deceive nor be deceived – the soul becomes by Grace.  That is to say, the soul feels detachment from the things of the earth, she sees their fleetingness, their instability, how everything is false, everything is rot, which deserves to be abhorred rather than loved.  While the soul feels this state, God communicates His Grace, and the Grace of true love and of eternal love; He communicates His beauty, in such a way as to make the loving soul go mad, and the soul remains filled with the love and the beauty of God.  And here is how, what God is by nature – love and eternal beauty – the soul becomes by Grace; and so with all the other divine virtues, such that if I wanted to say everything, I would be too long.  I only add that Grace anticipates the soul, It excites her, but only when the soul masticates those truths, and swallows them like food into her bosom, then It communicates Itself and enters to take possession of her.  This is why not everyone receives the effects described above – because they let them escape from their minds like lightnings, and do not make a place for them.
Vol. 6, February 28, 1906

“My daughter, why do you want to move away from my likeness?  I never thought about Myself; the Sanctity of my Humanity was complete absence of self-interest.  I did nothing for Myself, but I did and suffered everything for creatures.  My love can be called true, because it is marked by disinterest for my own self.  Wherever there is interest, it cannot be said that there is a fount of truth.  On the other hand, the soul with no self-interest is the one who comes forward the most; and as she comes forward, the sea of my grace takes her from behind, inundating her, in such a way as to make her remain completely submerged, without her thinking about it.  On the contrary, one who thinks about herself is last; the sea of my grace is in front of her, and she is the one who has to cross the sea by arm strokes - if she manages at all.  In fact, the thought of herself will create many obstacles for her, such as to strike into her the fear of diving into my sea; and she runs the risk of remaining on the shore.”

Vol. 12, June 22, 1920

“The more the soul humiliates herself and knows herself, the closer she draws to the truth; and being in the truth, she tries to push herself along the path of virtues, from which she sees herself very far away.  And if she sees herself on the path of virtues, immediately she realizes how much there is left for her to do, because virtues have no end – they are infinite, as I am.  So, being in the truth, the soul always tries to perfect herself, but she will never arrive at seeing herself perfect.  And this serves her, and it will make her work continuously, striving to perfect herself more, without wasting time in idleness.  And I, pleased with this work, keep retouching her little by little, in order to portray my likeness in her.

This is why I wanted to be circumcised – to give an example of highest humility, which rendered the very Angels of Heaven stunned.”
Vol. 3, January 1, 1900

I saw little Baby Jesus with a fistful of light in His hand, and rays flowing out through His fingers.  I remained enchanted, and He told me:  “My daughter, perfection is light, and one who says he wants to reach it acts just like one who would want to clasp a body of light in his hand:  as he tries to clasp it, the light itself flows out through his fingers; except, his hand remains immersed in that light.  Now, the light is God, and God alone is perfect, and the soul who wants to be perfect does nothing but seize shadows - the little drops of God; and sometimes she does nothing but live in the light alone, that is, in the Truth.  And just as the light penetrates deeper and occupies more space the greater the void it finds, and the deeper the place is - in the same way, the more the soul is empty and humble, the more the divine light fills her and communicates Its graces and perfections to her.”
Vol. 6, December 22, 1904

By continually returning to these truths it is as if they give off their fragrance, perfuming Heaven and Earth and this causes Jesus to want to make still more truths revealed.  The Divine Truths always have more to give than the creature can receive.

“How beautiful it is to see my truths in your heart as fount of life immediately having the development and the effect for which they have communicated themselves.  Therefore, correspond, and as soon as I see one truth developed, I will make it an honor for Myself to make another fount of truth arise.”
Vol. 13, January 11, 1922

The more one thinks about the truths, reads them, writes them, talks about them, and diffuses them, the more fragrance they give off.

Out of obedience, I was reviewing, in my writings, that which I had to mark so that it might be copied; and I thought to myself:  ‘What is the purpose of so many sacrifices?  What good will come from them?’  And while I was thinking and doing this, blessed Jesus took my hand in His, and squeezing it tightly told me:  “My daughter, just as the flower, when touched, gives off its fragrance with greater intensity - so much so that, if it is not touched, it seems that it does not contain so much fragrance, and the air does not receive the balm of that scent - the same for my truths:   the more one thinks about them, reads them, writes them, talks about them, and diffuses them, the more fragrance they give off, in such a way as to perfume everything and reach even into Heaven.   And I smell the fragrance of my truths, and I feel like manifesting more truths, in seeing that the truths I manifested spread the light and the fragrance which they contain.   On the other hand, if my truths are not touched, the fragrance and the light remain as though compressed and do not spread; the good and the utility which my truths contain remain without effect, and I feel defrauded of the purpose for which I manifested my truths.  Therefore, if only to let Me smell the fragrance of my words and make Me content, you should be happy to make the sacrifice.”
Vol. 14, August 26, 1922

The light of the Divine Will continues to envelop me; and my little intelligence, while swimming in the immense sea of this light, can just barely take a few drops of light and a few little flames of the so many truths, knowledges and happinesses that this endless sea of the Eternal Will contains.  And many times I cannot find the right words in order to put on paper that little bit of light; I say little compared to the much I leave out, because my little and poor intelligence takes as much as is enough to fill me – the rest I have to leave out.  It happens as to a person who dives into the sea:  he becomes all wet, water flows everywhere on him, and maybe even in his bowels; but as he goes out of the sea, how much of all the water of the sea does he carry with himself?  Very little – indeed almost nothing compared to the water that remains in the sea.  And by having been in the sea, can he perhaps say how much water, how many species of fish and quantities of them there are in the sea?  Certainly not; but he will be able to speak of the little he has seen of the sea.  Such is my poor soul.

Vol. 19, May 31, 1926

In order to determine between grace, nature, the devil, and truth and falsehood, the intellect must be illumined with belief (faith.)  Those who believe have faith, hope and love written in their hearts and they will see things clearly and find the truth.  This keeps the soul calm and at peace.  For those who do not have this they have nothing and everything is confusion as light fractured into a multitude of broken pieces.

Everything is written in the hearts of those who believe, hope and love.
This morning I was feeling all oppressed, and since Monsignor had come to visit me, saying that he was not sure that it was Jesus Christ who operated in me, when blessed Jesus came, He told me:  “My daughter, in order to comprehend a subject well it takes belief, because without belief everything is dark in the human intellect.  On the other hand, the mere believing turns on a light in the mind, and by means of this light one can recognize with clarity truth and falsehood, when it is grace that operates, when it is nature, and when the devil.  See, the Gospel is known to all, but who comprehends the meaning of my words, and the truths contained in It?  Who keeps them in his heart and makes of them a treasure with which to purchase the eternal kingdom?  One who believes.  As for all others, not only do they not understand a thing, but they use my words to mock them and to make fun of the holiest things.  So, it can be said that everything is written in the hearts of those who believe, hope and love, while nothing is written for everyone else.  The same with you:  one who has a little bit of belief sees things with clarity and finds the truth; one who does not, sees things as all confused.”
Vol. 4, January 9, 1903

“My daughter, when a river is exposed to the rays of the sun, in looking into it one sees the same sun that is there in the heavens.  However, this happens when the river is calm, with no wind that ripples its waters.  But if the waters are rippled, even though the river is completely exposed to the sun, one can see nothing – everything is confusion.  The same for the soul:  when she is exposed to the rays of the Divine Sun, if she is calm she perceives the Divine Sun within herself, she feels Its heat, she sees the light and understands the truth.  But if she is disturbed, even though she has It within herself, she feels nothing but confusion and disturbance.  Therefore, hold peace as your greatest treasure if you cherish being united with Me.”
Vol. 6, April 12, 1904

The creature is a  finite being and can never truly understand the infinite.  There will always be some enigma, some mystery with God, but all of this only makes the truth shine more.  The truth is recognized as truth when one remains in peace and sees true virtue produced.

Doubts of the confessor.  The answer of Jesus.
Since the confessor had raised some doubts, as blessed Jesus came, I saw the confessor with Him, and He was saying to him:  “My operating is always leaning on the truth, and even though many times it appears obscure, under enigmas, however, one cannot help saying that it is the truth.  And even though the creature does not understand my operating with clarity, this does not destroy the truth; on the contrary, it makes one comprehend much better that it is a Divine way of operating.  In fact, since the creature is finite, she cannot embrace and comprehend the infinite; at the most, she can comprehend and embrace a few glimmers.  As for example, the many things said by Me in Scripture, and my way of operating in the Saints – has this perhaps been understood with all clarity?  Oh, how many things are left obscured and amidst enigma!  And yet, how many minds of the erudite and learned have tired themselves in interpreting them?  And what have they yet understood?  One can say absolutely nothing, compared to what is left to be known.  But does this perhaps prejudice the truth?  Not at all – on the contrary, it makes it shine more.  Therefore, your eye must be kept on whether there is true virtue, and whether, in everything, it can be felt that the truth is present, though sometimes obscured; as for the rest, one must remain tranquil and in holy peace.”  Having said this, He disappeared, and I returned inside myself.
Vol. 4, July 27, 1901

A sure sign of it being Jesus' word, which is truth and light, is where it enters it produces sanctity and order such that the soul feels the virtues; patience, humility, charity and such come forth.  Even more so truth has the inherent ability to transform the soul into the truth itself, giving the very good that it contains.  Whereas if it is the devil who speaks it is empty of good, of life, of grace.

My word is not only truth, but also light, and when a light enters a dark room – what does it do?  It dispels the darkness, and makes one distinguish the objects that are in it, whether they are ugly or beautiful, whether there is order or disorder; and from the way that room is found, one judges the person that occupies it.   Now, the human life is the dark room, and when the light of truth enters a soul, it dispels the darkness – that is, it makes her distinguish what is true from what is false, the temporal from the eternal, in such a way that she casts vices away from herself and places the order of virtues within her.  In fact, since my light is holy - it is my very Divinity - it cannot communicate anything but sanctity and order, and so the soul feels light of patience, of humility, of charity and the like come out of herself.   If my word produces these signs in you, why fear?”
Vol. 2, August 18, 1899

The words of Jesus are full of truth and of light, and they carry with them the substance and the virtue of transforming the soul into truth itself, into light itself, and into the very good which they contain.

I was thinking about what has been written, and I said to myself:  ‘Is it really Jesus that speaks to me, or is it a trick of the enemy and of my fantasy?’  And Jesus, on coming, told me:

“My daughter, my words are full of truth and of light, and they carry with them the substance and the virtue of transforming the soul into truth itself, into light itself, and into the very good which they contain, in such a way that the soul does not only know the truth, but she feels within her the substance of operating according to the truth which she has known.  Further, my truths are full of beauty and attraction, in such a way that the soul, taken by their beauty, lets herself be enraptured by them.

“In Me everything is order, harmony and beauty.  See, I created the heavens; they alone could have been enough - but no, I wanted to adorn them with stars, almost studding them with beauty, so that the human eye might enjoy more from the works of its Creator.  I created the earth, and I adorned it with many plants and flowers.  I created nothing which did not have its own ornament.  And if this is in the order of created things, much more so in my truths, which reside within my Divinity.  While it seems that they reach the soul, they are like solar rays, which hit and warm the earth without ever departing from the center of the Sun.  And the soul remains so enamored with my truths, that she finds it almost impossible not to put into practice the truths she has known, even at the cost of her life.

“On the other hand, when it is the enemy or the speculation of fantasy that want to speak about truths, they bring neither light, nor substance, nor beauty, nor attraction.  They are empty truths, without life, and the soul does not feel the grace to sacrifice herself to put them into practice.  Therefore, the truths that your Jesus tells you are full of life and of all that my truths contain.  Why do you doubt?”
Vol. 14, March 7, 1922

When God speaks the soul not only sees the truths of the words but feels a movement in her interior which only comes from the Divine.

...finding myself outside of myself, I saw the confessor and I told him what blessed Jesus had told me.  I asked him whether it was according to the truth, and he said to me:  “Yes.”  Not only this, but he added that the divine speaking could be recognized well, because when God speaks and the soul relates it, one who listens not only sees the truths of the words, but feels a movement in his interior, which only the Divine Spirit possesses.
Vol. 5, October 29, 1903

If the devil speaks about virtue he can only project repugnance and hatred for the virtue within the soul.  But when it is God who speaks His word is full of life and fecund with the virtue of which He speaks because truth is strength, light, and support for anyone who embraces it.

Another time, I remember that since I feared that my state might be a work of the devil, good Jesus told me:  “My daughter, the devil can also speak about virtue, but while speaking about virtue, he casts repugnance and hatred for virtue itself into the interior of the soul.  So, the poor soul finds herself in contradiction, and without the strength to practice good.  On the other hand, when it is I who speak, since I am the truth, my word is full of life; it is not sterile, but fecund, therefore while I speak I infuse love for virtue, and I produce that very virtue in the soul.  In fact, the truth is strength, it is light, it is support and a second nature for the soul who lets herself be guided by the truth.”
Vol. 7, May 9, 1907

Ultimately the devil knows nothing about the Will of God since he rejected it, therefore he can not speak about It.  So seeing the creature doing the Will of God is the thing which he hates the most.  He cares little about whether the creature receives the Sacraments or prays, or preforms miracles but to see the creature do God's Will doubles Hell for him.  Therefore the devil can not speak about God's Will and his word is empty of grace and carries neither happiness nor peace.

“My daughter, why do you fear?  Don’t you know that the thing which the infernal serpent knows the least about Me is my Will?  In fact, he did not want to do It, and by not doing It, he did not know It, nor love It.  And even less did he penetrate the secrets of my inscrutable Volition in order to know the effects and the value of my Will; and if he does not know them, how can he speak of them?  Even more, the thing that he abhors the most is that the creature do my Will.  He does not care about whether the soul prays, goes to Confession, receives Communion, does penance or performs miracles; but the thing that harms him the most is that the soul do my Will.  In fact, as he rebelled against my Will, so was hell created in him – his unhappy state, the rage that consumes him.  So, my Will is hell for him, and every time he sees the soul who is submitted to my Will knowing Its qualities, value and sanctity, he feels his hell being doubled, because he sees the paradise, the happiness and the peace he lost, being created in the soul.  And the more my Will is known, the more tormented and furious he becomes.  So, how can he possibly speak to you about my Will, if It forms his hell?  And if he did speak to you, his words would form hell in you, because he knows my Will only to hate It, not to love It; and what is hated never brings happiness and peace.  And besides, his word is empty of grace, therefore he cannot confer the grace to do my Will.”
Vol. 16, September 9, 1923

why do you fear that it might be the enemy that puts you in this state?  When it is the enemy that makes one suffer, he casts desperation, impatience, disturbances; on the other hand, when it is I, I infuse love, patience and peace, light and truth.  Do you perhaps feel impatient, desperate, that you fear it might be the enemy?”  And I:  ‘No, my Jesus; on the contrary, I feel as though plunged into an immense and deep sea – your Will; and my only fear is that I might go out of the abyss of this sea.  But while I fear, I feel its waves rising more powerfully over me, plunging me even deeper.’  And Jesus:  “And this is why the enemy cannot get close – because the waves of the sea of my Will, while plunging you into the abyss of It, maintain the guard and keep even the shadow of the enemy far away.  In fact, he knows nothing of what the soul does and suffers in my Will, nor does he have the means, the ways or the doors to be able to enter into It; on the contrary, It is the thing which he abhors the most.  And if sometimes my wisdom manifests something of what the soul does in my Will, the enemy feels such rage as to feel his infernal pains being multiplied, because my Will, loved and fulfilled in the soul, forms paradise, while not loved and not fulfilled, it forms hell.  Therefore, if you want to be safe from any diabolical snare, take to heart my Will and living continuously in It.”
Vol. 16, April 23, 1924

I heard a horrible din from afar, from some who were beating each other and roaring with such clamor as to strike fear.  And I, turning to my Jesus, said to Him:  ‘My Jesus, my Love, who is making such a din?  They seemed to me like enraged demons.  What do they want that they rage so much?’  And Jesus:  “My daughter, it really is them.  They would want you not to write about my Will; and when they see you write more important truths on the living in my Will, they suffer a double hell and they torment all the damned even more.  They fear so much that these writings on my Will might come out, because they see themselves losing their kingdom upon earth, which they acquired when man, withdrawing from the Divine Will, gave free step to his human will.  Ah! yes, it was precisely then that the enemy acquired his kingdom on earth; and if my Will could reign upon earth, my enemy, on his own, would shut himself up into the deepest abysses.  This is why they rage with such fury:  they feel the power of my Will in these writings, and at the mere thought that they might come out, they fly into a rage and try anything they can in order to impede a good so great.  You, however, do not pay attention to them, and learn from this to appreciate my teachings.”
Vol. 17, September 22, 1924

At most evil can only put on a temporary façade of false peace.  Unless things come from a foundation of truth they can not last long.  When there is no truth there is no love and without love there is no life to sustain it.  As it was in Jesus day so will it be again.

“My daughter, the more it seems that the world is apparently in peace, and they sing the praises of peace, the more they hide wars, revolutions and tragic scenes for poor humanity, under that ephemeral and masked peace.  And the more it seems that they favor my Church, and sing hymns of victories and triumphs, and practices of union between State and Church, the closer the brawl is which they are preparing against Her.  The same was for Me.  Up until they acclaimed Me as King and received Me in triumph, I was able to live in the midst of the peoples; but after my triumphant entrance into Jerusalem, they no longer let Me live; and after a few days they shouted at Me: ‘Crucify Him!’; and all taking arms against Me, they made Me die.  When things do not start from a foundation of truth, they have no strength to reign for a long time, because, since truth is missing, love is missing, and the life that sustains it is missing.  Therefore, what they were hiding easily comes out, and they turn peace into war, and favors into revenges.  Oh! how many unexpected things they are preparing.”
Vol. 18, January 24, 1926

When creatures apply themselves to these writings on the Divine Will however they will be transformed, spiritualized and divinized and then the Church will be renewed, which will transform the face of the earth.  At most the creature may not fully understand them as it will eclipse the human intellect but they will still find every word to be truth.

I see that these writings will be for my Church like a new sun which will rise in Her midst; and drawn by its blazing light, creatures will apply themselves in order to be transformed into this light and become spiritualized and divinized, in such a way that, as the Church will be renewed, they will transform the face of the earth.  The doctrine on my Will is the purest, the most beautiful, not subject to any shadow of the material or of interest, both in the supernatural and in the natural order.  Therefore, like sun, it will be the most penetrating, the most fecund, and the most welcomed and appreciated.  And being light, of its own it will make itself understood and will make its way.  It will not be subject to doubts or suspicions of error; and if some word is not understood, it will be because of too much light which, eclipsing the human intellect, will not allow them to comprehend the whole fullness of the truth.  However, they will find not a word which is not truth.  At the most, they will not be able to comprehend it fully.  Therefore, in view of the good which I see, I push you to neglect nothing in writing.  One saying, one effect, one simile about my Will can be like beneficial dew upon souls, just as dew is beneficial on the plants after a day of burning sun, or like a pouring rain after long months of drought.  You cannot understand all the good, the light, the strength contained in each word; but your Jesus knows it, and knows the ones whom it must serve and the good it must do.”
Vol. 16, February 10, 1924

Every truth about the Divine Fiat is more prodigious than a physical miracle.  The words, alone, on the sanctity and power of the Fiat will resurrect the soul to their origin in God, heal them of the spiritual leprosy of sin, give them eyes to see the Kingdom of the Divine Will and a tongue to speak of it's mysteries.  More so in giving a Divine Will to each creature which contains within Itself all goods together.

Each truth about my Eternal Fiat contains more power and prodigious virtue than if a dead man were resurrected, a leper were healed, a blind one could see, or a mute could speak.  In fact, my words on the sanctity and power of my Fiat will resurrect the souls to their origin; they will heal them from the leprosy produced by the human will.  They will give them the sight to be able to see the goods of the Kingdom of my Will, because until now they have been like blind.  They will give speech to many mute who, while they were able to say many other things, only for my Will were like many mute without speech; and then, the great miracle of being able to give to each creature a Divine Will which contains all goods.  What will It not give them when It will be in possession of the children of Its Kingdom?  This is why I keep you all occupied with the work of this Kingdom of Mine - and there is much to do in order to prepare the great miracle that the Kingdom of the Fiat be known and possessed.  Therefore, be attentive in crossing the endless sea of my Will, so that the order between Creator and creature may be established; in this way, through you, I will be able to make the great miracle that man return to Me – into the origin from which he came.”
Vol. 20, October 22, 1926

So there remains the work of spreading these truths, the truths of the Kingdom of the Divine Will in order to renew the face of the earth.  When someone only works only for human purposes it is exhausting and yields little reward, but when one works in the Divine Will they operate in the realm of truths that carry no physical weight but are of incalculable value, but the responsibility that comes with this is immense as each truth carries the weight of God and the loss of one truth effects all of mankind.

I saw two people before me.   One of them went on picking up rocks, old rags, rusty iron, pieces of clay - all things which are heavy and of very little value.   Poor one, he struggled and sweated under the weight of that rubbish; more so, since it did not give him the value necessary to satisfy his hunger.  The other one went on picking up grains of diamond, little gems and precious stones – all things which are very light but of incalculable value.  My sweet Jesus added:

“The one who keeps picking up rubbish is the image of one who operates for human purposes.  That which is human always carries the weight of matter.  The other is the image of one who operates in order to do the Divine Will.  What a difference between the two!  The grains of diamond are my truths – the knowledges regarding my Will which, picked up by the soul, form as many diamonds for her.  Now, if one loses some of that rubbish or does not pick it up, he will cause almost no harm; but if one loses or does not pick up one of these tiny grains of diamond, he will cause great harm, because they are of incalculable value and they weigh as much as a God can weigh.  And if it is lost because of someone who has the office of picking them up, what account will he not have to give, having caused the loss of a grain of infinite value, which could have done who knows how much good to the other creatures?”
